An Insurgent by Resurrection

I am Jesus and you have faith in my God.

The minute an animal questions its master
Is the start of faith’s fabric fraying;
Condemnation or salvation?

Rebellion always takes to the leaders,
Never followers nor disciples
So come on, string him up.

We’d done it before,
An act of repetition.
The only difference was

There was only one this time.

He fooled you, didn’t he?
when he said that he’d be back

It was okay.
It didn't seem to hold my interest as I read it.
[[it might just be that it's late and I'm tired.]]

I'm not entirely sure - it's beautifully worded and an awesome piece of poetry, but I'm not sure whether it's got the passion that most of your poetry has. I think it's more philosophical than anything, if that makes sense. With that in mind, it becomes kind of subdued, which philosophically works quite well...

Excuse me for my ramblings.

Yeah, I think that's the problem with it. I knew there was something wrong but I couldn't really place my finger on it. Thanks for the help.
