MOVIE: The Blues Brothers

I was surprised that there wasn't already a topic for this movie (which happens to be my favorite ).
It's about two guys, Jake and Elwood Blues, who go to visit the orphanage they were raised in. They find out that the church is going to sell the place and the only way to save it is to pay $5000 on property tax. Jake and Elwood decide to put their blues group back together and raise the money by playing a huge gig. Many famous singers like Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin make appearences.
It's a great movie, and even if you don't like blues music, a lot of the songs are good too.

I love this movie! Princess Leia from Star Wars is in it! And Ray Charles! Oh, it's such a classic!

Oh Em Eff Gee I love the Blues Brothers! I saw it in 6th grade when a substitute brought it in for us to watch even though tis rated R. I was Jake for an 80's party

I LOVE The Blues Brothers so so much. I haven't watched either of them in a while though...I listened to Sould Man the other day though. Yeah...kickass.

I was 8 when I watched this, I don’t really remember much else but I do remember I liked it.

This is probably one of my dad's favorite movies, so my whole family can quote the hell out of it. There's so many great moments in it that I'm not going to start, because then I'll babble way too much. But yeah it's a fantastic movie.

what a great movie, its too bad they had to make a sequel with blues brothers 2000. that movie was lame.

It wouldn't have been so bad had they still had Jake..
..sucked that he died but didn't they say that was why they made 2000?

I watched it about a couple months ago. It's one of my favorite movies now.

The first one not second one. The second one really sucked.
