And So It Begins

Hawkapinky Shoot Me, I'm A Newbie ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 3 | My chest gets tight, and my breathing speeds up. A faint nervous laugh escapes from my mouth, I start to twitch. My feet start to move, I can't stay still, and my head starts to feel heavy. Confusion and impatience rushes over me, and so it begins... My heart shrinks, and squeezes all the blood out through my ears, I start to over exaggerate, and my stomach becomes ill, I feel weak, and dizzy, I have to close my eyes and grasp my knees. I start to shake uncomtrolabley, random words with no meaning spilling out of my head, my thoughts twisted, and insane... And so it begins, passion has a hold of me again. My desire turns to love, another fake emotion created to comfort. What is real? The fear I feel or the depression I hope to kill? __________________________________________________ I wrote this after trying to ask this guy out that I liked for almost a year, and I paniced and screwed everything up. I personally think this is one of best poems I've every written, but what do you think? |
Sandwich-Masta Geek ![]() Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 224 | Pretty friggin' cool stuff, man. I like it a lot. But...I think it could be improved if maybe you shoehorned in a couple of metaphors, or similes, or whatever they are to take the place of some of the longer lines, like the "random words with no meaning" one, I think would be really good if it was replaced with a cool metaphor. Awesome nonetheless. |
