Deep Waters

Oceans, into which the river of life flows,
never ice up in winter.
When its cold.
When its lonely.
Listen to the moving waters,
the music is beautiful,
caressing of the ears.

When something wonders in,
perhaps a sunken ship?
Or a dead body?
Will it ever be recovered?
Its a mistery of life,
the neverending circle of life,
in which the water plays its part.

Another age has come to pass,
a new era has begun.
Fresh waves flood the sandy shore,
nature takes its course.
In the beginning there was the end,
and before that there was nothing.

Returning on our survey,
we see many facinating things.
The fantastic births of creatures unknown,
the forming of darkened minds,
illuminating us with knowledge.
Those deep waters that hold so many secrets,
are we deserving of them?

Of all the wrong we have done in the past,
will we copy them in the future?
Will the waters wash our shame away?
Is it worth while to forgive our forgetful minds?
Promises that we make in one life,
we may not keep in another,
but perhaps one day it will pay off...

But those deep dark waters of life
still hold the many secrets
to which we are denied access.
I think for the better.
I hope we never gain that access.
