Formed in Seattle in 1998 by original members Jason Vena, Kaylan Cloyd, Chris DeCastro, and Peter [something]. In 1999, they released their first EP, The Lost Words, which was recorded by the original members of the quartet. A few months later guitarist DeCastro decided to leave the band and pursue his own trail. After replacing DeCastro with Garrett Lunceford, the group continued to tour intensively as openers for crew such as the Juliana Theory, Element 101, and Bleach, as their debut EP sold upwards of 5,000 copies. In 2003, Acceptance returned with a new EP titled "Black Lines to Battlefields" on the Militia Group. Extensive touring, including dates with Gatsby's American Dream and The Snake The Cross The Crown, followed before the band's Columbis debut, Phantoms, appeared in April 2005. Early 2006 was spent on sold-out around the country promoting their new album with peers Hellogoodbye, The Academy Is ..., and Panic! At The Disco before hitting up May's Bamboozle festival. By summer 2006, however, rumors circulating among their fanbase for a bit were confirmed. Acceptance -- who now comprised of Vena, Cloyd, Christian McAlhaney, Ryan Zwiefelhofer, and Nick Radovanovic -- sadly decided to call it quits after only one formal album release.
