To be honest though I if knew anyone was drink driving i would berate them publicly. unfortunately for Billie Joe he's not only an idiot but a celebrity idiot so he get to be berated on a national scale.

What so if your friend or family member was drunk at the wheel, you'd take them outside to have a go? I'd have a go, but there's no need to let everybody else know and cause a scene in a public place.

And Billie isn't being berated on a national scale, it's just that everybody here knows his past cos it's a green day site. If I asked my mother, or even my brother (who's a green day fan as well) I doubt they'd know,or even be overly bothered.

The thing is, with any drunk driver, it isn't just their life. Its everyones life. Anyone who might have the misfourtune of meeting up with them on the road. They could kill someone, all because they got in the car drunk. That's a totally preventable accident, yet they were stupid enough to do it anyways. Now someone could end up dead because of their ignorant actions. So you see, the "it's his life" thing doesn't cut it. His life is the last thing Im concerned about, it's all the people idiotic drunk drivers endanger.

I know that doesn't change the fact, but him DUIing happened once, near his house and he knows that was retarded and I don't think he will do it again. ... Just sayin'.

Drink driving is totally and utterly wrong, how anyone can be drunk and then think it's ok to get behind the wheel of a car is beyond me.

And I don't think any amount of time in prison is enough, yeah they're living with it for the rest of their lives, but they've taken someone else's life away too, sometimes someone's mother or father. People say that living with what they've done is punishment enough, but I don't think it is.

Anyway, I completely agree with Kurtni. DUI is so incredible stupid since it puts people who happen to come a cross it in danger. People (who are completely innocent) may get killed and it’s something that so easily could have been prevented. I could go on but I’d just be repeating what she said with my own words

I personally no someone who was kileld by a drunk driver and my dad used to DUI...nto fun to see him like that...drunk...could have killed people. So...I'm completely against it.

It's stupid and people need to learn that just because they didn't kill someone when they did it that it's still wrong. Next time they might kill people. This may sound harsh, but maybe if someone is drinking and driving, perhaps they should die in a car accident. If they're dumb enough to do it, then let them feel the consequences.
