What an oxymoron then that silence stings
the air. In this tomb I can stay for hours, staring at
nothingness knowing that I know
nothing. This
labyrinth of scripts and words embraces me like a
mother in times of quiet broodiness,
when life's inexplicable riddles dumbfound the
child. I
sit huddled in foreign territory, cocooned in the safety of
bound paper.
For these infinite few minutes,
