Into The River Styx

Inebriated skeleton, your little
paw prints surround the dock.
Do not be so facile, the growl
of night is biting at my ankle.
I do not care if the water is wet.

See, I am terrified of those
slippery dragons swirling
amongst the reeds, breathing
their soft seaweed flames
and I still touch the surface.

My arms are not the familiar
Caucasian skin you desired.
Oozing green slime, my griffon
blood taints my skin jaundice
yellow, oh so like nicotine

But not that drug, I cannot feel it
under my nails. I wonder if you do.
There are so many things you will
not say to me. How dull, be
brilliant like the fizzing

Supernovas you let me see through
your sapphire telescope. The
stars collapsed and captured
my delicate rasp. Digress
no more, you pallid coward.

How could you say that I am
no better than they? My dear,
my heart is not made of wood
nor my eyes of quartz. I am
a naked flame in the dark hillside.

I have spilled innocent blood
all in good cause. Red flashes
in the night mean naught. My
own sanguine system is not
as viscous. It is thick mud

Like the mud you are slipping in.
Step into the water, the current is

once you are immune to those

Oh God, it's absolutely marvelous. Your whole style is just immense, and I just love your imagery in this one. I think you use repetition very cleverly and to good effect, and I love the images of nicotine.

I can actually see that happening in the picture. I think it's amazing and I agree with Absinthe Daniel. I like the nicotine images.

the imagry you've used and the way you portray this is simply amazing
great vocab, it makes the reader think carefully and then once they understand its simply amazing
