Hope

It's a wave spreading outwardly
touching all within its path
making them move desperately with hope
that they can last
Even in the midst of war
and major destruction
hope spreads its wings
and soars ahead
saying let them win again

Hope is a weapon
calling out
to all who dare to use it
a two -edged sword
strikingly
there for all who chose it
When its not needed
it goes away
turned into a plow share
to help things grow
and feed the world
but never shall we lose it.
