Tears staining that couch
And where he sat upon it,
Still has the warmth
As you lay across it,
Weightless.
You pray that he’s in a better place,
Now
There’s nothing to make him breakdown
No pain and no fear.
Tired of feeling empty
And left out in the cold,
Lost.
Forever without the one
Who made you smile when you were trembling with tears
his arms cascading around you
protecting you from the darkest of corners
as he flies high into the air
you’ll stand underneath,
wishing and waiting for his voice to come to you
and tell you you have nothing to fear. |
