mmm I guess there's not gonna be an American Idiot movie, cause their new album will be realeased in 2008, so it will be too late for the movie to come out.

I don't think they've specified whether it'll be late or early, but apparently they have three albums worth of material.

One sounds like the Clash, another is more straight forward punk and the other is a follow on from American Idiot. They just need to decide which direction they want to go in.

Yeah, it is a bit too late for a movie. I think they probably dropped the idea after thinking about it for a while.

I don't they should release one now, it's a bit too late for that, but maybe for the next album?

Cigarettes and Valentines was the album that went "missing" and was meant to be put out before American Idiot. However, with it's disappearence, the boys decided to go in a different direction and released AI instead

Yeah i know. It was just something i saw on the Q&A in Kerrang thats all it said the new one was going to be called that as well.

I think it's a great idea to make the movie. The song has done alot, but some people need a visual.

It was stolen just before it was going to be released, but Green Day decided to start fresh and do AI.
That's why there was such a gap between Warning and AI.
