Confession
Fear of falling
And no one will catch me
That’s the story of my life
Too scared to live
In fear of dying
So sad, but a true confession
Want to keep my heart safe
So I tie it in knots
Hoping no one will be able to unbind
I let no feelings show
So no one will know
That I’m not as strong as I seem
Going to bed
Crying a lullaby
Singing my pain away
Going out of my way
Keeping secrets in vain
Just so I won’t get burned
And yet I touch the flame
So I feel something
Something more than just dead inside
Letting anxiety take the wheel
What everyone else is
Instead of what I have become
Fear of falling
And no one will catch me
That’s the story of my life |

That part makes no sense to me. It is a good poem otherwise. |

For that one part, I meant I'm worrying over what everyone else is like instead of the person I've turned into. |
