Give me a reason to believe
That you're the only person I should see.
Why can't I go into the other room?
Am I too late?

Tears roll down my face as I hear what you have to say.
Hours later, I found myself walking down the pier.
Trying to breathe, I look out at the bay.
Children roaming freely, parents not too far away.
Leaving me to wonder, "Why am I here when I have no purpose?"

Leaning on the rails, watching the water below
Crash into the posts that support the area where I'm standing.
My grimace has become too much to bare, as I turn.
I see your angel like face and your hazel green eyes.

Smiling I kiss your soft lips only to watch you fade.
You're the ghost of my dreams.
The person that once lied in the bed in the other room.
The one who gave my a reason to believe in everything I've ever known.
Why'd you have to go? Come back and share my life with me.

This sorrow I'm in has become overwhelming.
Save me, please, I beg of you.
I sit on my knees and look up at the sky.
Tears streamed down my face as I said,
"Give me a reason to believe!"


i wrote this after finding my avatar. Cheesy, sad, depressing? I know

Yes it sucks.. haha. That's the first attempt at rhyming in 2 years

i really like it ^^

i enjoyed reading it... i dont know but i like the feeling that it forces through me, makes me think.
