RIP Mikey Dread

Yes, I know this is a few weeks late, but I just found out this horrible news. I'm in shock. I was wondering why I hadn't gotten a new Dread at the Controls Podcast in a while and I looked to find out and discovered that Mikey had passed on last month.

Yeah, wow. After I saw this I had to go away for a while. I think I'm alright now though. It's days like these that make me feel like I should be doing something better. When ever an event like this comes along, it encourages me to be more artistic, or sporty, something to, not really take my mind off of, but like honour kind of, the death of such an amazing person. Like how I listenned to 'Bankrobber' while playing footy with my family. It's like, the sort of thing I'm sure Mikey Dread would smile at.

I might go out for a swim later on today. Or play tennis. Or do some photography. Yeeeeah, photography.

I suppose it my inability to express myself through words, anyways. God bless, I suppose, there's really nothing I could possibly say. He will truely be missed? Something like that.

I always imagined some great big musician heaven where all the musicians go and all they do is like jam all day long. I'd imagine he's there, dubbing the jam sessions with a mixing board. Joe's on guitar of course. James Brown is dancing in the background. Desmond Dekker is on vocals with Bob Marley .(Awesome! ) Dallas Cook, rocking the trombone. Tommy McCook definately on the saxamophone. Dizzy Gillespie on the trumpet. And Ray Charles can be banging on the keyboards. Dave Alexander definately goes on the bass.
