Jesus Of Suburbia, Too Long?

I love it.
It's different, it's emotional, it's interesting.
& fun to play on bass tbqh.

love it and have only seen the censored version but am downloading the uncensored version now

Ya know...sometimes I think it's too long.
When I'm on the bus for school or in the car going some place fast. I hate that I have to cut it short. =(

But it's a rad song and I really really love it.

I like all the different parts of the song, but i guess if I didn't like one of the parts the song would be kinda ruined for me.

I don't think its too long. I love every minute of it and the radio station I listen to still plays it sometimes...(not that that matters). Not many bands can pull off a 9/10 minute song but Green Day definitely can and did.
JOS is quite possibly my favorite song off of AI.

Many long songs get boring after the first 5 minutes or so - but not Jesus of Suburbia. This song is amazing.

I could see if it was a 9-minute guitar solo, but not this.
Green Day knows how to keep their songs interesting.

i guess my chemical romance's welcome to the black parade was inspired with this green day's jesus of suburbia.

I don't think its too long at all. It's different as some of you have said [but very reminisent of Queen's 9-minute-esque songs]. I personally enjoy every second of it, it's one of my favourites off the album and as a song and as Tre says "Radio stations like playing it so they can go off and take a shit."

it isn't too long...for someone who love listening Green Day and song like Jesus of Suburbia....emotional, amibitous etc.

i luv it. but if u think about, its almost like 5 different songs, connected together to make one big freakin awesome song..... right? i have it almost memerized on guitar, i know it, but like i still have to work on it alot. like ive played the whole thing w/o looking at a tab, but i think for sum parts i was just guessing.

I think its pretty damn epic. Just the fact that it covers so many aspects in under 10 minutes is amazing. Problems with his mom, his girl, his buddies, his life in general. And it really just helps tie in the whole concept. I hate the cencored version and the fact they cut parts out for tv to make it shorter, you know?

Yea you can say its too long but then again its really not he said it's the song that explains St.Jimmy the best it tells the whole story. They have played the song on Kerrang MTV-Two MTV-One i they only played the long version once and then they shortend it abit to like 5mins or something.....
