I know it'll never fully replace Good Riddance, but if you think about it, both songs are slow and sad, and are both about saying goodbye. Plus, Green Day has a whole new fan base now, and most of them are stupid kids who won't even think to look at their previous work, so they'll think of Wake Me Up as Good Riddance.
But besides that, either BOBD or Good Riddance. |

I don't think you can compare Good Riddance and Wake Me Up like that, musically they're quite different, Good Riddance being all acoustic for instance. I know there's tons of people who consider Good Riddance to be a good song and absolutely have no interest at all in Wake Me Up When September Ends. |
