I've heard it pronounced both ways, but I know it was HEE-DON on Tom Snyder so... Paul's last name took me a month of Clash obsessing to figure out, and now I laugh at people who can pronounce it. There was a Clash question on Jeopardy a few months ago and Alex Trebec was all, "On the cover of London Calling, Paul Sim-OWN-NUN-OWN-NUN..."

But I doubt I'll actually ever be in the situation when I'll have to meet him and go "Oh you're Topper Headon! Hi" And if i ever do, I'll just assume we're on first name terms to avoid any mistakes.
