Awwwwh... I really need to go back and re-read DH soon... because the first time through it I didn't have enough time to just submerge myself in the story.

The only problem with re reading the books just before the movie comes out as that everything is fresh in your mind and you notice all the mistakes and stuff thats been missed out or added in or whatever a lot more than if you hadnt.

Me and my flatmates have been watching the films because we want to buy the Harry Potter Scene It game and not everyone in the flat has seen the films, and yesterday we got into this huge discussion about how to define pure blood/half blood/mud blood etc.
See, I thought Harry was pureblood considering both his parents were magical, but then apparently he's not because his mum was from a muggle family. But I figured since she was still a witch that would make him pureblood? UGH. I know he's not now, but I got really confused about it all. We spent nearly the entire Chamber of Secrets discussing it.

its odd cause say your 4 grandparents are all magical but one is muggle-born. that makes you quarter muggle. then say your granchild has 3 pure blood g-parents and you then she/he is 1/8 muggle and it could continue going into the hundreths of a percent so at what point is it considered so minute that its just overlooked that your not entirely pure.
