The Kill Falling In Love With The Board Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 8449	September 7th, 2008 at 03:43am I searched and saw no thread for this, so heeeere we go. Spinnerette is Brody Dalle's new band. The band consists of Brody Dalle (obv.), Tony Bevilacqua (also from The Distillers), Jack Irons (RHCP, Pearl Jam, Eleven) and Alain Johannes (Queens Of the Stone Age, Eleven). Brody announced the new band in March 2007 and a "mash-up" was posted on their MySpace, called "Case Of The Swirls" in January 2008. If you go to their MySpace, you can hear the first song from the upcoming album, "Valium Knights" that was posted on August 8th http://www.spinnerettemusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/spinnerettemusic Hoorah. Yer, I read a review the other day that basically just said they looked like they'd rather be somewhere else the whole time. Was the performance any good besides that? Cause I might reconsider seeing them at Leeds fest this weekend. :s

You were right, they did look bored out of their skulls for a bit, I thought Brody wasn't even going to say hello atall at one point, but about ten minutes in they suddenly seemed to wake up and actually seemed to be interested in their performance lol. Easily one of the best bands of my weekend I'd say.

Dale Cooper Geek Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 388	October 3rd, 2009 at 07:58pm I've always loved the Distillers. Brody is fucking incredible,however, I'm not all that fond of Spinnerette. I mean I like them an everything, just I won't listen to them as much as I did the Distillers. The sound is really different, but they are still pretty cool.
