Nope, it will always be present, because minorities always have to find a way to push one down to get up.

And, African Americans get to much sympathy,
They weren't slaves,
They didn't go through it,
They need to stop acting like it.

That's how I feel,
And that's only toward the ones that act up to it.

true, the ones nowadays weren't slaves
but they still get an unrivaled amount of racism towards them, and that is fact.

I'd say that Mexicans get it worse these days then blacks.

It's how you present yourself as a African American,
If you act arrogant, or like the sterotype, you get treated that way.
If you don't, you get treated differen't.

There are racist to every race, and if we keep babying this one, then it's only to get worse in what they think they deserve.

I'm not talking about babying, I'm talking about the large amount of americans who are still bigoted and judge the entire race by stereotypes.

That happens to every race though.
I don't see it more with them then any other.
They're just the ones that get attention.

And I would just like to say, that I don't count the old people, like my great grandpa.
They don't count, cause they were born way back when.

How does that not count? That just means they're stubborn and havent changed their views.

In general, blacks are take a majority of the abuse. The Mexican situation is unique to the southern USA!

Cause, can you blame someone when they were raised that way from birth.
Most of that stuff is instuled in you.
Sure sure they can change.
But they're old, and it's the it was most their life.

And, I suppose.
But I don't see black kids getting treated worse,
Sometimes they whip out the black card, and then get special treatment,
I have seen it.
And it ticks me off.

My black family doesn't act like that,
So what makes other's do that?
Sets me off!

i don't think that any race should be treated better than another one. we are all equal no matter what our skin colour is.

I agree with this.
But, I know it never will be this way,
Not unless the world ends up like it is in the giver...lol

Okay, true, I can't say I know, suppose I should word what I am saying a bit better,
But I see it to be highly unlikely, by all means it would be wonderful, but I don't see it happening.

Oh, and I would say worse then blacks, and mexicans, I feel bad for those who are from the middle east.

when i was in high school, a teacher told one of the black kids to get out of his class (because he was beind ridiculously disruptive and disrespectful. also, the teacher in question was white) and the kid pulled the race card and told him he was being racist.

the teacher lost it at him and told him he was going to sue him for slander, and he didn't care what color his skin was, he was being disrespectful and therefore didn't want him in his class.

i guess you could say that about anyone though. I mean, I know 20 year olds who are homophobic. They've been taught that homosexuality is wrong and "icky" for the past twenty years, but is that okay? Obviously not! so why is it okay for 60 year olds to treat Mexicans differently?

I'm not trying to attack you, i'm just saying that i don't think older people should be excused because "that's the way they were raised."
My grandfather has the world population divided by "us" and "them", "them" being .. I think he calls them "Arabs". I don't think that's okay, and challenging his views might help him change, or at least not be so close-minded, y'know.

I wasn't talking about mexicans,
I was talking about African Americans.

I just think that after about 98 years,
Why challenge them?

it's not important which ethnic group they're a part of, the point is, racism is wrong. And it's still wrong if you're 98 years old. It's also wrong if a person has been idk, locked away in a society that only accepts people with brown hair and blue eyes, comes to another place after 60 years and hates everyone with blonde hair..

The world is for everyone, why should we allow certain people to think that they're better because they have a certain colour skin?
Besides, racism has been looked down upon for decades, it's not like it's a new idea to accept different people.

I guess it depends on the person,
I don't think there is any reason in changing those people now.
I think we need to worry about the people now.

I know the people have always been racist, but why change their views at this point in time?
What difference would it make?

well it's like saying that old people don't have an influence, and they do. say they have grandchildren or maybe a business. y'know, if it's their business, maybe they won't hire white people, or black people or mexicans.. and maybe they'll tell their grandchildren that chinese people are horrible, etc..

i get that they don't have a huge influence on the entire world, but say they influence their surroundings, who then influence their surroundings etc. Also, i think it would make a difference to the mexican (or whatever) chick who gets a dirty look from an 80 year old woman, not because of the way she's dressed or something she's said, but simply because her parents or her grandparents are from somewhere different from the angry old lady.

and i'm not saying y'know, go up to a 97 year old racist guy and be like "hey man you suck, stop hating", i'm just saying that older people can still be educated and open-minded. It does make a difference.

Anyway i think we're getting off-topic.
in some way, i get that people that aren't caucasian might feel slighted on behalf of their ancestors, and feel that white people have had it too easy over the times of history. I mean, i kinda get the vengeance. at the same time, i think everyone needs to look forward and accept the change we've been going through for ages.
