Green Day in Articles
Contact Music interviewed Chris Martin of Coldplay about the current success of his band, which lead him to make a complimentary remark about Green Day:
"The reason we're the biggest band in the world at the moment is because the others are on holiday. That's how you get your breaks. That's how the understudy gets his opportunity. While U2 and Green Day are away, we've gotten to make the most of it."
USA Today interviewed American Idol winner David Cook, who is working with Green Day's old Producer, Rob Cavallo. Rob made a comment regarding Green Day during the interview:
"First single Light On, however, "is by-the-numbers generic power balladry, a song that could be anybody from Green Day to My Chemical Romance," both also produced by Cavallo."

What does age have to do with music? I love a lot of old rockers: The Cure, The Clash, Ramoens, Dave Matthews Band. I hope GD keep rocking till they're super old and die onstage.
