Simpsons Movie on TV
For those of you who were unable to see Green Day's appearance in The Simpsons Movie while it was in theaters, it will be airing multiple times on HBO. For a complete listing of all the times it will be showing, you can check out VH1's artist schedule for Green Day.
Green Day was mentioned in Entertainment Weekly. American Idiot was named the sixth new classic album. There were no pictures or long articles, but a short paragraph that read:
"Forget the Sex Pistols. Punk didn't truly go mainstream until these three snotty, snarling post-adolescents broke through to become arena-filling icons; and with songs like 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams', they proved that a little maturity can be a good thing."
Yup!!! I totally agree, american idiot is an awsome instant classic!

I totally agree--American Idiot is an instant classic if there ever was one. I often think that it's right up there with Bowie's Ziggy Stardust.

Yup! I agree 100%. Green Day were influenced by a lot of older bands, but they soon became the influence on new bands now and fans! But I think that a little maturity and a 'secret' message behind any song, can take a band to heights they never though would be possible.
And I really don't think this little thought of mine fits this subject. Oh well... I at least wrote down what I think, and that counts for something, right?

Actually, the line said "Forget the Sex Pistols. Punk didn't truly go mainstream until these three snotty, snarling post-adolescents broke through to become arena-filling icons; and with songs like "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams," they proved that a little maturity can be a good thing."
Yes, I typed the whole thing out just to tell you that you forgot two words. lol, lame.
