Tre's Drum Lessons, chapter 8
RECAP
**2 hours later**
We bought the house and have just went shopping to furnish it. Its ready to live in!
"Oh shit!" exclaims Tre with a worried look on his face.
"Whats wrong??" I ask him....

"Billie and Mike were supposed to come over tonight. I forgot to tell them that we were going away!" answered Tre.
"Oh, Ok. Ring them up." I say.
"Ok, wheres my cell phone?" asks Tre.
"Here it is!" I answer, and hand him the phone.
He calls up Billie's phone. "Hey Billie, yeah...look i'm in Australia...yeah I know about the media...Ok, yeah you can come by if you like...yeah we've bought a house...Ok...call me later...bye." Tre hangs up the phone.
"They might be coming in a few weeks." says Tre.
"Alright, cool." I answer.
***1 week later***
We've settled into the house now, and I get a message on my phone.
'Hey Danni, where are you, man? You were supposed to be back from that competition thing ages ago! Message back, ok? from - Ash'
I decide to call up insted of messaging back.
"Hey Ash!!" I exclaim.
"DANNI!" screams Ash. "Where have you been??!"
"I'm living in Cairns with my new boyfriend." I reply.
"WHAT?! WHO IS HE?!" she exclaims.
"Oh, you'll see." I answer slyly.
"Do I know him?" she asks.
"You could say that." I reply. "Look, are Nat and Erin with you?" I ask.
"Yeah, why?" asks Ash.
"Good, ask them if they want to come for a few weeks to stay with us up here in Cairns." I say.
"Uhhh..ok." replies Ash.
I hear mumbling in the background.
"Ok, we'll come!" exclaims Ash, "But what will we tell our parents?"
"Err...say to them that we have scored a gig up here, and that you're staying with me and a few of my relatives, then ring me back to tell me what they say." I say.
"Ok, cool..bye." she says.
"Bye" I say, and hang up.
"Hey Tre, do you mind if some of my friends come over for a few weeks?" I ask.
"Fuck no! I wanna meet your friends! Plus, I wanna see you guys play!" Tre exclaims.
"Cool, thanks babe." I reply "When can we pick them up from the airport?" I ask.
"I can book the plane now, and we should be there at 1pm." replies Tre.
"Cool." I reply.
My phone rings.
"Hello?"
"HEY DANNI! WE CAN COME! WE CAN COME!" screams Ash, nearly bursting my ear drum.
"AWESOME! Ok, we'll meet you guys at the airport at 1pm. Be there, or be square!" I exclaim.
"Ok.. see ya at 1pm! Bye!" yells Ash, definately excited now.
**10 mins later**
Were boarding the private plane, and in an hour were in Melbourne.
"Ok, Tre, you stay in the plane while I get my friends. I want to suprise them when they see you." I explain to Tre.
"Ok." he says, and I give him a kiss and get off the plane.
As I walk across the airport, I see my friends waving and screaming my name. They run at me and nearly knock me down.
"DANNI! DANNI!" they scream.
"Hey guys, i've missed yous!" I exclaim.
"So..whos this guy?" asks Nat.
"Well, I'll show you..come on." I say, and lead them to the plane.
We walk up the stairs to the plane, and the door opens.
The girls see Tre sitting on the couch in the plane. They just stand there, jaws dropped down as low as they can get.
"Uhh..hey!" says Tre. "I'm Tre Cool.."
"OH MY GOD!" screams Ash.
She leaps forward and hugs him. Erin and Nat are still just standing there, stoked.
"Hey! Whats your name?" asks Tre to Ash.
"I-I'm A-Ash!" exclaims Ash, studdering.
"Yeah, shes lead guitar, and thats Erin, she plays Bass, and thats Nat, shes our lead singer." I say.
"H-Hey." Nat and Erin muttter. Then they say "Danni, Tre Cool is on your plane!".
"Yeah, I know..he's the guy I was talking to you about." I reply.
Ash, Erin and Nat all look at me simultanously.
"You're kidding, right?" asks Ash.
"Uh, no." I say.
"Ohh you lucky bitch!" screams Erin.
They've finally snapped out of their little trance, and Nat comes up to me and hugs me.
"I've missed you so much! And you're dating Tre Cool! Since when did this happen?!" she asks.
"Since about a month ago. I've been living with him for a while now, and we had to leave the US because the media caught hold of our relationship, and well, because of the age difference, well..it explains itself really." I reply.
"Oh, thats tight." says Nat.
"Yeah..but we're happier here." I say "I really love him, you know."
"Aww..thats so sweet." replies Nat.
"Hey come here Danni!" exclaims Tre. Hes talking to Ash and Erin.
I sit myslef down next to him, and he puts his arm around my shoulders.
"Your friends tell me that you were the one screaming at me when we arrived in Melbourne during our American Idiot show!" laughs Tre.
"Yeah, it was me!" I laugh, and Tre kisses me.
"How could've I forgotten that face?" he says.
"Hey, do you guys wanna play now?" asks Tre.
"Now?" asks Ash. "We're in mid air."
"So?" says Tre. He grabs my hand and opens a door in the plane. Inside there are amps, microphones and a drumkit.
"Cool!" I exclaim.
"Alright!" exclaims Erin.
Ash and Erin hook up their guitars, and I pull out the drumsticks Tre gave me, from my bag. Nat stands behind the mic, doing a quick sound check, and Tre fixes up the Tech equiptment.
"All set!" Tre declares.
"Ok, ready to go?" asks Ash.
"Yep!" says Nat and Erin.
"Ok...1....2...1...2..3..4!" I yell.
We start playing one of our original songs.
Tre looks amazed, and looks at me and smiles. He blows me a kiss.
I smile back and hit the cymbals as hard as I can.
Ash and Erin are playing the hell out of their guitars, and Nat is singing great like always. The song finished and I stood up and ran to Tre. I jumped on him and hugged him tight.
"That was so fun! I havent done that in ages!" I yelled.
He kissed me and said "You were great...and so were all of you guys!". He gave a big thumbs up to the band.
"You guys hav'nt got a record deal yet? You rock!" he declares.
"Thanks!" they answer.
We go back into the main room in the plane. We all sit down, me next to Tre and Ash on Tre's other side, then Erin and then Nat next to me.
"So whats Billie Joe like?" asks Ash.
"Oh, he's awesome..they're coming over next week." answers Tre.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! OH MY GOD!" screams Ash.
"Ash worships Billie Joe.." I add.
"And what about Mike? Is he coming too?" asks Erin.
"Yeah, him too..we all love AUS so any chance we can get of coming here, we take." replies Tre.
"Oh God! Mike! Mike is my God!!" exclaims Erin.
"Well get ready to go to church, because they're coming tonight!" exclaimed Tre, looking at his phone.
"What?" I ask Tre.
"I just got a message from Billie Joe, he said that they're coming tonight instead of next week." he answers.
Ash and Erin look at eachother and jump up and down screaming.
"Billie Joe and fucking Mike!!!" they chanted.
Natalie's not as much of a Green Day fan as we are, but shes still exstatic that Billie and Mike are coming.
The plane lands and Ash and Erin are still chanting.
"Billie Joe and Mike! Billie Joe and Mike!" they yell.
"Ok girls, I know your excited, but you can't tell anybody that Billie and and Mike are coming..or that me and Danni are here..ok?" asks Tre.
"Yep, cross our hearts!" exclaims Ash. Nat and Erin do the same.
**6 hours later**
Were all sitting around having drinks when the door bell rings.
'DING DONG!!'
"Open up, fuckers!" we hear coming from the door.
"Coming Billie keep your pants on..although its not possible!" Tre exclaims.
Ash, Erin and Nat are shaking with excitment. The door opens.
Standing there is Billie, with his black messed up hair, and wearing a black shirt with his red tie, and Mike, with his newly dyed brown hair, and wearing a black button up blazer.
"Hey girls. I'm Billie Joe."
**2 hours later**
