Strange Things Are Happening, chapter 15
There stood Mike face-to-face with a whole group of zombies. Tre and Billie Joe were out in front.
Mike started to back up.
"What's the matter, Mike?" asked Tre.
"Y-You're one of th-them," Mike stuttered.
"I told you everything wouldn't be okay," sneered Tre.
Tre and Billie started to move closer to him. Mike tried to back up more, but couldn't due to the cliff.
Tre pointed to a puddle of blood that Mike was standing in.
"That is where they caught me," explained Tre, "And this is where we are going to get you."
"Tre! Billie! You guys are supposed to be my friends! Why are you doing this?"
Billie grabbed Mike by the shirt and pulled him closer to his face. Where his eye used to be was a big hole.
"You didn't help me when that bitch took my eye!" yelled Billie.
Then Tre grabbed Mike and pulled him over. Tre leaned his head over, and Mike gasped as he could see the start of Tre's spine poking out of his neck.
"I didn't die right away. You could have helped me, but didn't help me, either, Mike," whispered Tre.
Tre pushed Mike back. Mike could feel his feet start to go over the ledge. His weight was wavering back and forth between the land and the air. He could feel himself start to fall backwards off the cliff. He turned his head and looked below him to see the jagged rocks. Tre grabbed Mike again, balancing his weight on the ledge.
"Which way do you want to go, Mike, on the rocks or with us?" Tre asked coldly.
Mike couldn't think. His mind had shut off. He looked at Tre and saw only hate. He looked back at Billie and seen the same thing. Tre jerked him forward and stepped back as he let Mike fall to the ground in the puddle of blood. Mike screamed and tried to get away from it, but couldn't. The entire group was holding him down. Mike starting screaming again as he felt the zombies tearing away at his skin.
Tre bent down next to him.
"Looks like you won't be there for Estelle after all," he laughed.
