The Scars Remind Us That the Past is Real, chapter 2
"Hi, nice to meet you." said Erika extending her arm to shake his hand.
"So, where's your date, Erika?" asked Billie.
"Oh, she should be here any minute."
Erika, Billie, and Adam were having a conversation, when a girl with long jet black hair and brown eyes came up to the trio.
"Oh hey, Ashley! Glad you could make it. Guys this is my date Ashley. Ashley this is Billie Joe and his date Adam." said Erika gesturing to the two guys.
"Hi, nice to meet you. You guys ready to head in the theater?" asked Billie.
They all nodded and began walking to the entrance doors. They decided to sit in the back, so they climbed up the side stairs and took a seat centering themselves with the screen. When the movie was over they decided the night was too young to end it, so they went out for some drinks at a local gay bar,Galaxy.
"Hey Ashley, let's go dance." said Erika.
"Sure." replied Ashley as she set her drink down on the bar counter.
Billie looked at Erika and smirked. He turned back around and ordered another round of drinks for both him and Adam.
"So, are you having fun tonight?" asked Billie.
"Yea, this place is awesome!" replied Adam.
"Yea. It's pretty cool." answered Billie.
Silence over went them as they glanced around the room. Billie watched as Erika and Ashley were talking and laughing in the middle of the dance floor. When the clock struck 12, the foursome decided to turn in. They were all beat from the evening's agenda. When Erika and Billie finally returned to Billie's home, they walked into the kitchen and sunk down at the dining table.
"Dude, I'm so tired." said Billie.
"Yea, I'm tired too." replied Erika.
Billie got up from the chair and walked over to the refrigerator. He pulled out a tub of vanilla ice cream and grabbed two spoons. He sat back down and opened the tub. Erika looked up at him and smiled.
"Do you ever stop eating?" asked Erika, with a smile creeping on her face.
"Fuck off." said Billie with a mouthful of ice cream.
Erika laughed and grabbed the spare spoon. As they sat there quietly eating their ice cream, Billie broke the silence.
"So what do you think about Adam?" he asked while stuffing his mouth with another spoonful.
"He seems nice, and he's pretty cute too. If I was straight, I'd tell you to watch your back." smiled Erika.
Billie laughed.
"Yea, Ashley is pretty cool too." he said.
Silence fell over them again.
"Hey, BJ, I better get going. I'm so fuckin tired." said Erika as she stood up and grabbed her purse.
"Okay." said Billie.
He got up from the table and put the spoons in the sink and the ice cream in the fridge. He walked her to her car and leaned on her window as she started the engine.
"Night Erika." said Billie as he leaned over and kissed her cheek.
"Night, Bill."
She drove off into the night. Billie watched as her car slowly disappeared as he walked back into his house and straight to his bedroom. He sunk on his bed and fell fast asleep.
"So, where's your date, Erika?" asked Billie.
