Family Man, chapter 10
Billie Joe and Katie arrived back at the house. Billie Joe pulled into the driveway, but didn't turn off his car. He turned to Katie, "Katie, i know you said that this wasn't my fault. But somehow i feel that it was. I should have known something was wrong when you came home and never said a word to any of us."
"Please, dad, don't worry about it. He was playing it up. He put ona show fr all of us. You were there at the police station, he raped 5 other girls in 5 other states. He would just rape them, leave and change his identity." Katie replied.
"I guess your right. Im just glad that we got him before he could leave." Billie Joe said. He pulled Katie in for a hug.
"Thanks dad. You know, for everything. I know i never say this anymore, but I love you."
"I love you too, baby." Billie Joe said as a tear streaked down his face.
Katie had never seen her father cry before. She started to cry again in her fathers arms.
"Well, i guess we should go inside now, your mothers probably worried sick." Billie Joe said. He kissed the top of his daughters head and they got out of the car. Katie wiped the tewars off of her face and opened the front door. Everyone stood up to greet them. Adrienne walked over to Katie and wrapped her arms around her. Katie could tell that her mother was crying. They all sat down. Katie was sitting between her mom and dad, Tre and Mike were sitting together on the loveseat. billie cracked a joke about that. everyone laughed.
Joey and Jakob came down the stairs and looked at everyone, "Whats the matter mommy?" Jakob said as he climbed ito Adriennes arms. Joey climbed up onto his fathers lap.
"Well, something happened to Katie." Adrienne replied.
"What is it mommy?" Joey asked.
"A boy hurt Katie, now hes going to go to jail for a very long time." Billie Joe replied.
Katie laughed and a tear rolled down her cheek. Joey and Jakob climbed on to Katies lap. They each hugged her and gave her a kiss. "Its going to be ok sissy. We still love you." They said.
Katie hugged her brothers back, she started to cry, "I love you guys too."
"Well," said Mike nervously, "Im going to go get Estelle and then we'll come back here ok." Mike said glancing from Billie Joe to Katie. He had always hoped that his relationship with his daughter could be as strong as Billie Joes and Katies relationship.
Tre got up too, "I think i'll go get Ramona and Frakito too." Tre said, "We'll be right back."
Katie let go of Joey and Jakob, "I have to take another shower, i still feel dirty." Katie said.
"Ok honny. I'll make some food for all of us. Yes even you guys." Adrienne said, lookign over at Tre and Mike.
Katie walked up the stairs and into the bathroom, she heard the front door close and turned on the water. She got out of her clothes. and stepped under the water. She started to think about the days events. "Your daughters a great fuck" instantly came to mind. She shook her head. "Hes a disgusting pig." she thought to herself.
*1 hour later*
Katie came down the stairs after blowdrying, and straightinging her hair. She put on her black jeans and a Green Day "Kerplunk" T-shirt. She cousl smeel pizza coming from downstairs. She loved her moms homemade pizza. She walked down the stairs and was startled by the door opening right beside her. it was Tre, he brought Frankito and Ramona with him. They ran up stairs to where Joey and Jakob were playing. Mike came in behind him and Estelle ran up behind Frankito and Ramona. Mike chuckled and walked to he kitchen. Adrienne brought the kids up some pizza. Billie Joe turned to his daughter, "i hate it when you wear my band shirts." he chuckled.
"I know." Katie replied. She was starting to calm down.
They all sat around the table and ate their pizza, talking about whatever came to mind.
