Lost in The Desert, chapter 2
Everyone woke up to the sound of Haileys crying. Adie lazily picked her up and ran to the logs to feed her. Well actually Billie didn't, he was still in his coma. Adie knew she had to keep Hailey alive no matter what, because Billie risked his life for her, and that made Adie love him more. "Alex get some food"! called Tre. "Geez, alrighty then"! she called back. "Yo Ramona ya wanna clean moi clothes"? asked Mike. "Sure"! she squealed. Mike found a leaf put it around himself, and handed his clothes to Ramona. "Mike can you go check the plane and see if anythings still there"? asked Sarah. "I guess". he called while running towards the collapsed plane. "Estelle smooth and clean the beds, for Adie and Billie Joe's do it around Billie. The 8 year old nodded in understandment. Now lets got Alex's food looking." Aw, shit, nothing but bugs". she muttered. She decided to look in the lake. She found 10 little fishes. "Great, I guess the meal is fish and bugs". She told Joey. He nodded. He took a Rock and squashed the bugs. He took a twig and smoothed out the fish. "Yo Jake, make a fire for me"! He called to his little brother. "Fine". Jake muttered. "Frankito can you go get those twigs so I can make a fire"? she asked the 4 year old. The little boy ran and got Jakobs request. Jakob took the twigs and made a nice fire, so Joey could cook. Joey took two twigs and some twine and made a little rack thing to put the fish and bugs on. He lined the 10 fish and the 20 bugs up on the twine and twigs. He cooked them so even the bugs tasted really good. He found some weird spices down deep in the sand so he kept the hole open. The spices were extra delicous on the fish and bugs. He then found 10 stones which he used as plates. He decided they would have to eat with their hands.
"Joey this is delicous"! said Adie as she ate her "Fugoey" which was what Joey called his meals. "Thank you mom". he said blushing, he knew he was 10 but he was a fabulous cook. "Only if your father was here to enjoy it". Adie said with a tear falling down her cheek. Which Mike wiped away. "Adie I have known you as long as Billie Joe has, and he isnt gone, hes just.... in a coma". Mike said Uneasily. "Which he may never wake from". Adie pointed out. For about 15 minutes everything was silent. "Oh yeah guys I found some things at the plane"! Mike shouted. "Dude were right here, you dont have ta scream". Chuckled Tre. "Anyway, I found: 2 blankets, a pillow, some of our clothes about 2 pairs each, a first aid kit, and everything else was destroyed". he said sorta sad and happy at the same time.
"Okay we are done with breakfast so lets do our jobs! Alex find food for lunch! Ramona clean all the clothes in the lake they are probably dirty! Estelle redo the beds go around Billie when you do mine! Joey wait for Alex and then cook then set the table! Frankito find twigs and fix the logs! Sarah you dont have to do anything, luckey duck! Mike find supplies crap! Jakob put out the fire we dont that right now! Tre entertain people! Adie help Billie Joe out! Wait thats me! Okay every body get to work! Okay I will shut up"! called Adie. Everyone giggled. Tre grinned he had a plan. He would entertain! MWHAHAHAHAHA! Wait that already was his job! Oh well he had to come up with another plan. hmmmmm, I know I will tell the story about the evil chickens from outer space with Higoo and Gizoo. So he went off to tell his story first to his lovely girlfriend Alex. Oh yeah I never did tell what she looked like. She had beautiful Sandy Blonde hair, that fell into her big brown eyes all the time. Do you know what Sarah looks like? There pictures. Oh well she has blonde hair, she sorta looks like Mike 0_o. Anywho, thats not what were talking about.
Adie walked over to Billie. She lay down on him with her first aid kit. She remebered the date out of memory September 10, 2005, Billie's dads death date. A song came into her head, "Wake Me Up When September Ends". Maybe he would wake up when September ended? O well she doubted it. She again checked his heart beat. Still going strong. She missed his adorable voice, and the happiness he gave her. If he would die she probably would to, then the kids would be really sad. God things would be messed up. "Billie I miss you and love you". she whispered into his ear.
Lets go over to Ramona. She was working in the lake. She had 22 outfits too wash! Funness! she thought. She saw someone coming over to her, it was Joey. God he was hot, she really liked him. She was born in December so there wasnt much of an age diffrence. "Hi". he said simply. "Yello". she said back. He sniggered. "Yello? Okay um Blue". he said sorta confused. "Your funny. I meant yo and hello together". she giggled and said. "Ya know I really like you". he told her, sorta scared of scared of rejection. Yeah they were 10 but who gave a fuck *Ive known people who dated at 8, but this aint about me*. "You do"? she asked her face brightening. He nodded. "Me too". I said. We hugged and he left so I could do my job.
Lets go to Alex. Tre was telling aweird storie about evil chickens from outer space. The 2 chickens were Higoo, and Gizoo. It was cute. "That was funny". I said. "Thanks". he said. "Well, you gotta go to someone else now, okay"? She said. They kissed, and he left. Alex saw Adie staring she was defiantly sad, and she was in deep thought. Well back to finding food. She found 20 fish this time! Whooper Doodles! Anyway then she found 20 bugs. I went to give um too Joey.
Lets got To Joey. Alex had just been over and had just given him food to cook. "Jakob"! He shouted. "Yeah". the younger boy called back. "Fire, now". Joey called. Jakob came with Frankito. frankito got the twigs and then Jake lit it then ran back to the logs with Frankito. He got back up his twigs with twine. Which he called the Twings. He put the 40 peices of food on the Twing. Once it was cooked to perfection, he got out the jars of spices and garlic and put it on. He tried some. It was Great! "Alex its ready"! called Joey. Alex spread it around while Joey set the table with the Rock plates.
"Your cooking never seems to be bad, Joey". Tre said witha mouth full of food. "Ew, Tre". Sarah said. "You guys I had this weird thought that maybe Billie will wake when September ends". Adie said. "Thats strange Adie, hmm maybe, that be kinda weird". Mike said. "It would". Alex said.
"Adie you look really sad". Mike said after lunch. Mike was always the one who understood her, besides Billie who understood her completely. "I am". She replied. As tears fell from her face. "I just feel like he's not coming back". she sobbed. "Stop thinking that Adie! Please! He will come back! I promise you"! But Mike didnt even believe himself, he didnt know if his best friend was coming back. "We just gotta hope and pray". she said in between tears. She then ran back to where here "Comafied" husband was. She saw Alex with hailey coming over. "She just woke up, she wants her daddy". Alex said. Adie took the baby from her and put the baby on her husbands chest. She saw the little baby put her arms around her daddies neck. This brought tears to Adie's eyes. "I miss you"! she cried.
A couple hours later at dinner Adie had stopped crying a couple hours ago, but was still very sad. "God, Adie! Hes coming back"! Tre shouted at her. "God mom hes just in a coma, hes just in a sorta diffrent sleep. Joey said at her. "Thanks ya guys". she smiled a little for the first time in a while.
"Hey sorry ya gotta get evryone to sleep"! called Alex. So Sarh rounded evryone up and put them to bed. She gave the pillow to Billie, 1 blanket the Billie and Adie, and the other to Ramona and Joey. She put Hailey and Frankito to sleep first then the rest. After that she went to sleep. Adie was the only one still awake, she was staring at the stars, thinking. Before she fell asleep she went to kiss Billie. and fell asleep on him, feeling him breathe just made her feel better.
