Lost in The Desert, chapter 3
*September 13, 2005*
The 3rd in the desert, things were getting weird. Mike decided he really liked the leaf, so he wore the that leaf he wore before. Then Ramona gave Mikes clothes to Joey, and Joey was cooking the clothes for dinner. Yes, Billie Joe hadnt woke up yet, and Adie (even though it had only been 3 days) she dsoubted hed come back. She had been skipping about 2 meals a day so everyone was getting worried of the Armstrong family. Why they worried about Billie: Well, DUH! He's in a coma! Adrienne: She wasnt eating much, and she didnt talk to anybody but Billie Joe(who happened to be in a coma). Joey: He seemed to be about as distant as his mom. He only seemed to communicate with Jakob and Ramona. He also wasnt the happy boy he always was, he was so serious now, and didnt laugh. All he concentrated on was the food and Ramona. Jakob: He was alway drawing in the sand for his mom, pictures of Billie waking up. His mom loved it, that was pretty much the only time she smiled. People just thought it was weird, they knew Jake was always positive but....? That was just weird. Hailey: She put her body in a pretzel shape and made weird gurgling noises, it was really strange.
Yeah, evryone else was sad about Billie, but GOD the Armstrong's were going practically insane. Alright lets go into some point of views, starting with:
Alex
"Mike did you find any straight jackets in the car"? I mumbled. "ALEX! I cant believe you even asked that! I mean how would you feel if Tre went into a coma"? Mike asked me, quite angry in his little leaf. I shuddered at the thought, I also noticed everyone watching. "I hadnt thought about, how horrible that would be". I said, sorta sad at the straight jacket comment. "YEAH! Let that be a lesson. Adrienne, Joey, Jakob, and Hailey are going through hard times". Mike said to everyone. Of course the Armies (Were going to call them that from now on) had totally ignored evrything just said.
Joey
"Aw Fuck! Now I bet Alex the pretty little slut girl thinks I wasnt listening". I whispered to Ramona in one of those baby voices. "She is pretty slutty". she told me back. "I wonder when Britney Spears is gonna get me the food, ya know to cook, I cant just cook sand"! I screamed, but not so Ramona would get mad. I saw Alex's head shoot up. She knew I didnt enjoy her, I mean how could you like someone who told evrybody to nickname the Armstrongs the "Armies".
No one
Alex finally found food for dinner. She found 20 NEW bugs, and 20 fish. Yes this was the meal Adie ate at, but she didnt eat with them. She would take her rock with food on it back to where her and Billie Joe slept. Joey got the food from Alex, and started to cook. He fried them to a good length on the Twing over the fire Jake had made. But Jakob stayed with Joey cause he asked him too. The brothers were really good friends they barely fighted, or blackmailed, so they were really close. "Jakob, I miss dad, alot". Joey whispered to his younger brother.
"Me too, Joey, me too". The younger kid answered. "Jake can you help me? I need some more help putting garlic and spices on". Joey whispered to his brother."Yeah sure". Jake answered. the 2 put the spices and garlics on in silence. They were both thinking about their dad. What if he didnt wake up? What if he lost his memory, from being hit on the head? Maybe he wouldnt be nice anymore. They were scared, very about what could happen. He could still wake up and not have his memory, or be mean. They didnt want to think about these possibilities. They wanted their dad to wake up and be normal. Jakob also thought about how yesterday was his birthday, he really wished his dad had been there.
At dinner that night no one talked. Adie had already left to Billie. The rest just had an awkward silence. Ramona broke the silence. "Im tired, really tired so I am going to bed". She told everybody. Sarah followed her since she is the bed worker. "Tre! Tell story about Higoo and Gizoo"! gurgled Frankito. "Little boy my name aint Tre, for you that is! It is dada"! he shouted triumphitly. "Okay Twe". The little boy answered. Everyone laughed, well besides the "Armies". Joey had started to cry and was running towards Adie, as was Jakob. "Oh now, youve done it Tre! You shouldnt be talking about dads"! Mike and Sarah yelled at him. Tre looked ashamed at himself, he knew not to say the word "dad". Now he understood why Frankito had said Twe, he didnt want to make Joey and Jake really sad. Everyone else got up to go to bed, but Tre stayed behind at the logs. Thinking, hard. He finally got up to go to bed where Sarah was putting evryone to bed. After about 12 minutes evryone was asleep even Adie.
October 1, 2005
Much time had passed, and Billie still hadnt woke up, still. Adie still wasnt talking, Joey still was distant and serious, Jake was still drawing in sand, and Hailey still made herself into a pretzel. Adie was almost positive now that Billie wasnt going to wake up. It had been 3 weeks, yeah she knew that, but she missed him so much, and when he was gone like this it seemed like he was dead. When he was on tour it was diffrent. He called her like every hour, he emailed as much as possible, and according to Tre and Mike, He dedicated at least one song to her each time. This made her cry even more and more. Mike in his little leaf had gone back to the plane for a bucket, and did his job. He came back with a bucket. He gave that to Adie who cried in it. She got it about halfway every day. They used this for foods, salty water made food taste good, according to Joey. He was right, alright, the food was even better. Yes, you heard they were eating stuff that had Adie's tears on it. 0_o. Anywho, Adie still only ate one meal, still. She was so sad all the time. It pained evrybody to see her so sad.
Adie finally talked at dinner that night. "Do you guys remember Wake Me Up When September Ends"? she asked. Each nodded. "Im gonna sing it".she told them all. They all knew she was a great singer so they didnt care. So once she was done (which she hurried at, so nobody else was even close to being done) she began to sing.

The voice was a guy. No not Mike or Tre. Or Joey or Jakob and it wasnt Frankito. It was Billie Joe.
