This Is The Dawning Of The Rest of My Life, chapter 1
****Katy's P. O. V****
32, 33, 34 ah here it is number 35. Here goes my first day at Pinole valley high.
Hi I'm Katy Barker, I moved to Oakland from Alabama, my mom Jane was given a job here at Rod's Hickory Pit or somthing. Here goes my first day at Pinole.
"Katy! Welcome, come over here" the teacher said so I did. I noticed a boy by the window he was ignoring me when everyone else was saying hi.
****Billie's P. O. V****
Whats all the hysteria about? Only cause she's new she'll be like all the other girls.
I hope she doesn't notice me, I don't think she has yet. I'll just keep staring out of this window.
****Tre's P. O. V****
I said to her I was class president and she just smiled at me, like she didn't belive a kid with green hair was class president. I told her I was Frank but she could call me Tre cool, she just said somthing like
"I'l just call you Tre" So she seems cool.
****Katy's P. O. V****
A guy with green hair came over to me and said he was class president I think he's called Tre or somthing. The teacher said I had to sit near Billie Joe. I looked around and she pointed to an empty chair next to the boy looking out of the window. So I sat down, he pretty much ignored me all lesson.
****Billie's P. O. V****
Oh god what should I say to her? I don't want to sound stupid, maybe I'll just ignore her.
But that's mean hmm...
So in the end I asked her if she wanted to hang round with us at lunch she just smiled and said sure.
****Katy's P. O. V****
I can't belive it Billie Joe wants me to hang round with him, it's like I've been accepted for the first time in my life. So when the bell went for lunch I rushed over to Billie Joe.
He introduced me to a boy called Mike he had blonde hair and bright blue eyes he looked smart and intelligent. Then I saw Tre again he was a chubby kid he was really hyper jumping around a lot.
Then I met Ashlee, she seemed really cool she is really pretty aswell she's the blonde hair blue eyed type. We went to the back of the field and catted for abit about everything and nothing.
****Ashlee's P. O. V****
Katy seems cool, she talks weird though but she say's she's from Alabama the deep south so I don't
Blame her. I asked her what brings her to Rodeo and she said her mom's got a job in Rods
Hickory Pit, isnt that where Billie Joe's mom works?
****Billie's P. O. V****
I can't stop thinking about her she's so cool, all the way through double maths I kept staring at her. She was sat in
Front of me next to Ashlee. So I was pretty bummed when maths finished I would normally be
Jumping for joy.
****Katy's P. O. V****
I caught Billie staring at me through maths but I thought I was seeing things he was probably staring at Ashlee anyway. The bell went for home time so I headed of home by myself.
When I got home mom was at work so I made some beans and sat in the garden. I jumped when Tre came running through the gate.
****Tre's P. O. V****
I screamed hi katy and she looked startled, I asked her if she remembered me she said "Sure you're Tre." And I just nodded. I asked her if she wanted to come to tight wad hill.
She asked me where it was so I just said you'll see. She agreed to come with me. So we got the bus to Berkeley. She was really quiet, unlike me I could talk for America well I hate America.
****Katy's P. O. V****
Tre told me not to worry he new where we where going. For some reason I could feel I
Could trust him. He talked alot on the bus only shutting up when we got to
Berkeley or bezerkeley as he called it. I noticed Tight wad hill as soon as I got off the
Bus. It was a grassy hill with loads of punks and skaters where hanging.
I saw Billie Joe he was sat with Ashlee and Mike. Me and Tre walked over Tre
Started hugging everyone and I just smiled at them. We had fun down Berkeley we chatted we
Played on skate boards and we sang. Billie was the best singer he had a lovely voice.

I sang to Katy she looked impressed, she said I was a good singer and that she thinks I'm
Going to be famous one day. I just shrugged and laughed she giggled aswell.
It was hard to take my eye's of her. She seemed to like Tre though, Tre always gets
The girl's only cause he's loud and funny. Sometimes I just want to punch his
Chubby little face.
****Mike's P. O. V****
I think Billie Joe has fallen for Katy he keeps looking at her awww, oh well I'm off home.
Me and Billie Joe walked home cause we live in the same house.
It's really Billie's house but I live with him and his mom and brothers
Allen and davy. I moved in with Billie when I was 11 I'm 15 now, I moved into his house cause my mom moved out of town and left me so Mrs. Armstrong said I was welcome in there house.
****Billie's P. O. V****
Me and Mike walked into my house and had some pasta and cheese then we sat on the sofa. Mike was talking about nothing so I decided to ask him what he thought of Katy.
"Mike what do you think of Katy?"
"She's cool I think she likes you Billie"
"Really you think? Wow I hope she does"
As I said that the phone started ringing please let it be Katy it's probably Tre.
"Billie it's somone on the phone for you!"
