Billie The Bully, chapter 34

Lucy was scared. More than scared, she was petrified.
Gagged and uncomfortable, with her wrists and ankles both tied viciously with strong ropes, she tried her best not to cry, but the tears came.
She knew Billie probably wouldn't even be out of the store yet, and that frightened her so much, because the sooner he knew the sooner he could help.
"Now, my dear, perhaps me and you can have a little chat," Came the voice of Lucy's ex-husband, Robbie.
That was the name he called himself when chatting up women. Robbie. Sexy, slick, stylish Robbie, with his sports car and good job and flash suits...
"I know we didn't get off to the best o' starts..."
Best of starts?! Lucy's mind almost exploded with anger. Our marriage was nearly twenty years long!
"But everyone deserves another chance, including me. So when we get to my new place, you're gonna tell me where the kids are, and then we're all going to go and live together in Ireland, happily ever after. Got that?"
Lucy struggled to swallow and her throat ached.
Please, Billie. Hurry!

"Lucy!" Billie called. He scratched the back of his head and looked around the busy street. "Luce! Lucy!"
"Lost yer dog, sir?" Asked a dirty-looking woman working on a newspaper stand a few metres away.
"No," Billie said, approaching her, "I can't find my girlfriend. Have you seen her? Jeans, blue top...erm... brown hair in a pigtail..."
"That could describe about half the women in this country," The woman smiled.
Running his hands through his hair, Billie groaned and said, "Anything suspicious? She had a red handbag?"
Suddenly, the woman's eyes narrowed. "Ah, yes. I remember. Some kids were eyeing up that handbag. Prada, one of 'em said..."
"Yes but what happened to her?!"
"Well, she got into a car," She shrugged, "A black limo. Looked hasty about it, too. Sorry, man; I think she's got another one on the go..."
Billie's blood ran cold.
Oh no.

--
Ben pulled the white Nike top over his head, and pulled back the curtain.
Joey was sat on one of the soft red chairs, loads of carrier bags around his feet. He looked tired.
"That looks good, man," Joey told Ben.
Ben eyed himself in the mirror. "I look...chavvy."
Joey stood up and walked towards Ben. He tilted his head to the side, and then tugged at the hem of Ben's t-shirt. He walked around him, looking at it, and altered it here and there, before stopping when he was back where he started. Ben looked at him, and after a minute Joey looked back.
"You look good." Joey whispered.
"Thanks." Ben smirked.
And then somehow their lips were touching. Ben sprang back.
"What the fuck?!"
Joey blushed, really blushed, and looked down at his Converse.
"Ya could've given me some warning."
Joey frowned up at him. "What, like, hey, son-of-my-dad's-girlfriend, I'm gonna make out with you now?"
Ben considered it then nodded, "Yeah, like that."
Joey was too busy laughing to notice Ben had moved closer, and suddenly Joey's shoulders were touching the changing room wall, and Ben smiled.
"I'm going to kiss you now, son-of-my-mom's-boyfriend."
Joey felt the blood rush southwards.
"Fine by me," He breathed.
And, approximately 3.5 minutes later, they were thrown out of the Nike shop for indecent exposure.
That was when Joey's cell rang.

"Ben, it's...it's your mom." Joey said, putting the cell in his pocket. "Billie can't find her...some chick saw her getting into a car."
Ben gawped and started running fast, to Billie's.
"Ben, wait up!" He didn't, but Joey ran too.

"I love those kids." Robbie spoke, his voice cold and echoing in the small damp room. "When you're inside it's all you can think about. The things you did wrong, the things you did right, the things you should or shouldn't have done. The mistakes, the glories. It drives you insane."
Lucy was tied to a chair, but no longer gagged. She didn't dare speak. Her tears had stopped but her eyes were vague and glassy.
He looked straight at her and Lucy jumped.
"I made mistakes! I did! So did you! Everyone does! I want my kids back, Lucy. I love them."
"It's a shame you didn't love them before." Lucy's voice was small but hard, and her breathing matched. "Remember when you used to bring your sluts back on Saturdays? And we had to sit in the living room while you fucked them? That wasn't a life, Robbie. Those kids were, and still are, precious, and because of you their childhood is a load of bull!"
Robbie backhanded Lucy, hard. Lucy's head remained in that position until Robbie seized her cheeks between two big, broad fingers, and twisted it to face her.
"You see? Every time. Every time I hurt you, you deserve it."
Lucy sniffed.
"And don't think that queer rock star boyfriend of yours is going to stop me from hurting you more." Robbie whispered in her ear, his hand travelling to her thigh. "Nothing and no one can stop me."
