My Day with Green Day, chapter 1

Boulevard of Broken Dreams was the story of my life before I met Tre Cool in grade ten in Willits California.
I had two good friends in the entire school-after three days within the big move from Toronto, Ontario-named Natalia and Jenna.
Anyways, the second day at my new school I noticed a boy sitting in the back row of seats in Homeroom. He looked kinda lonely, then I recognized his face from science, english and math of the day before. He was the class clown. And was he ever hot! And I almost could've sworn that he was checking me out... But then I realized that he was intently watching the late kids hurry to their Homerooms... Or was he?
When the the teacher called attendance, I noticed that I was the first to be called.
"Alyssia Amberton?" The teacker called, searching the faces in the classroom.
I sighed. "My name" I said slowly "is Alyssa. Not Alyssia."
"Oh. Right you are."
"She oughta be right." The boy in the back said. "It's her name."
"Frank White 3rd!"
That's funny... I thought I thought Tre's last name was Wright, not White...
He sighed. "My name" He said slowly "is Tre Cool. Not Frank Wright 3rd."
I glared at him, thinking he was trying to imitate me.
"No, that's your nickname, and you will be called your real name in class." She lectured him. He glared at her.
By now, he had pissed me off big time.
Finally the bell rang and I went to my locker to get my science books, when Tre walked up to me-we were supposed to share a locker.
"Hey, there." He said as I attempted to get the combo right.
"Hi." I said contemptuously.
After three tries on the lock, Tre looked at me and said: "Lemme do it." It came open on the first try. "It's very choosy."
"I see." I got my science books and, remembering that I had no pen, let slip a word I probably shoudn't have.
"Ha! You! I can relate to you! I've heard people swear worse than that, though. Sorry, I feel like an idiot."
I wonder why. I almost said. Instead, I said: "I've sworn worse, trust me. Back home, the guys were afraid to talk to me because I was known school-wide for my short temper and colourful vocabulary."
"Well, I'm not afraid to talk to you." Tre said cheerfully.
"I can see that." I said smiling. "Do you have a pen I can use for the day?"
"Ya, what colour d'ya want?" He asked.
What colour? I wondered.
He pulled out a case of pens ranging from purple to pink in colour.
"You can keep the pink if ya want. I've never liked it too much."
I looked into his blue eyes and my heart melted. The cutest guy in school and I got to share a locker with him.
"I'm gonna borrow the blue. Are you sure you don't want the pink? It's nice for drawing hearts all over the... Oops!" I took my books and ran to the science classroom.
"Hey!" He yelled after me. "Wait for me, Alyssa!"
I was too embarrassed to even keep my head up.
Eventually, he caught up with me.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing."
That's bullshit." He argued. "C'mon, either you talk, or I take you to the school councillor." So I talked.
"Ok, ok, I get it. I've never been very talkative to the opposite sex."
"You were fine before I asked you if you wanted the pink." He observed.
"Ya, cuz that was before I realized how hot you-and there I go again!"
"Calm down, girl."
"Don't you tell me to be calm!"
"Whoa, take it easy."
"I'll do-" My voice trailed off because Tre kissed me on the cheek and headed into the classroom, leaving me standing there, looking like a loser. Well! I thought. That shut me right up!
Just then, Jenna walked up behind me.
"What's your problem?"
"I've just been kissed by the hottest guy in school."
"Frank?!? Frank kissed you?!?" I thought she was gonna have a heart attack.
I nodded weakly, feeling my heart turn to mush.
"Oh my-" She stopped herself. "Every girl in the school has her eyes on him. I'd say you're in for some trouble."
