Billie's Dreams, chapter 7
Billie awoke and yawned. He turned on his phone (it had been off to save the battery), and there was a missed call from his Manager. 'Oh dear,' He though to himself. He hadn't thought about what would happen when they were gone. Where were Mike and Lara? He turned and looked at the side of the road. Lara lying at the side of Mike, her head on his arm as a pillow. 'Aww.' Billie thought to himself. He was glad that Mike was happy. He turned and looked at Tre. His mouth was open, and he was dribbling a little. 'That's my Tre.'
"Come on guys! Everyone up! We've got a long day ahead of us." Billie called.
*Yawn*
Tre, Mike and Lara all woke up, eager to get on with the day. It was just going to be the usual day of driving where their heart told them to, or was it?
"Morning Sleepy," Lara said to Mike.
"Hey." Mike said, rather rosy cheeked.
"Aww, you looked so sweet when u were sleeping." Lara smiled.
"Thanks," Mike said, giving Lara a good morning kiss. It kind of turned into more and that.
"Ha, got cha!" Lara smiled, and Mike smiled back. They carried on.
"Will you two love birds just get in the car?" Called Tre. "Hey! No one told me!!! Oh my God! Ha!" Tre had just realized. "I realized right at the beginning... Promise!?" He lied.
All of them laughed at Tre. He was a funny guy, and whatever he did, he would always make someone laugh. Usually for no reason, he was just so funny.
They set off. This time, Tre driving, Mike next to him and Billie and Lara in the back. They turned on the radio because they wanted a bit of a sing along. The voice on the radio made all four people perk up to listen. The spokesperson, supposedly called Trevor Mac Owen, sounded very familiar. The car was always on this radio station because it was all over the country, so they could listen wherever they want.
Billie also had it playing because the presenter loved Green Day and always had it playing.
"Oh My God." Said Billie, nervously. "That's the fucking guy."
"Shit. No way." Lara said.
"Yeah its him. He loves green day. Its his I'm sure of it."
"Well doesn't he live in Preston?" Asked Mike, he knew because he listened to the station a lot, and had heard about Trevor's home.
"Yeah, wait, he does!"
"Well that's only around 70 miles from here!" Cried Tre.
"Oh my gosh you guys! Were gonna get them back! If not today, tomorrow, but were gonna find them!" Said Billie happily.
That day, it got to around 12.30 when everyone got hungry so they all had a little food and drink. They decided to stop the car so they could go to the toilet too. Mike and Lara sat on the side of the road, when they had stopped.
"Are you happy?" Asked Lara.
"Huh?" Asked Mike.
"Are you happy with me?" She said.
"No, I hate you!" He said with a cheeky smile.
"Good well I hate you too!!" They got close, and again kissed. They wished they could do more than just kiss, but it was kind of hard as they were practically in the middle of nowhere with Billie and Tre... Well a foursome! It was kind of obvious they both were thinking that same thing.
"You want to get back in the car?"
"Not really, but yeah." They kissed, again, got up and whilst walking back to the car, held hands.
"Aw!!!" Moaned Tre. He still couldn't get over it.
They set off again and carried on driving for another hour or so. They could tell they were close.
Billie soon remembered his 2nd dream and shuddered.
"You guys, what's gonna happen now?" He said. No one answered because nobody knew the answer. What was going to happen?
They drove for a while again and Billie thought he should check his phone in case he had gotten another wacko message. He pressed the on/off button and as he thought he had got another message. It read,
Hot...
He kind of guessed what it meant. Like, you know, cold, getting warmer, warm, getting hotter... and finally. Hot. So they were definitely near and they thought they knew who it could be. But were their instincts right? They had heard on the radio where about he lived, and they could always ask around. It was obvious that he had locked them away somewhere and while he went back to his usual job in the day, he would maybe come home and hurt Adie and the Boys, maybe he was trying to get information off of them. He seemed pretty normal on the radio, but once, when Billie, Tre and Mike had met him at an interview, Billie had always thought suspiciously of him.
Once again they carried on driving, having little snacks and stopping at a few gas stations when they needed to. They came to driving across a bridge and the sign read:
*Welcome to Preston, Please drive carefully.*
They were there. They were nearly there. They were going to be heroes once and for all!
