Billie Joe and Adie...A Bond That Will Rock On Forever!, chapter 6
Billie Joe peered from behind the grey curtain. The room was dark and crowded.
"So much for a tiny squat in front of 10 people," said Mike as he tuned his bass. Tre joined Billie behind the curtain and went to look at the audience.
"My god, they're overflowing onto the stage. 39 Smooth fever must be spreading then!" He shouted against the roaring of the crowd.
It was only a medium sized basement and there was way over 150 people crammed in, how was Billie Joe supposed to find Adrienne? Beer bottles were being chucked onto the show space(a small patch in the middle of the living room, the dining room was their backstage) and mad teenagers were rampaging over the barrier. "Well I guess..." Billie stopped. Tre had stripped off and was running through the crowd screaming, "I AM GOD! WAHHHH." Billie was about to run out and join him when Tre's head popped under the sea of people, Mike bent down and glanced under the cutains trying to see between people's legs.
"What's happened? We need to start!" said Billie.
"Um, lets just say Tre's getting laid," Laughed Mike, looking a bit bewildered.
Tre Cool's head sprang above the jam packed sweaty crowd and he waded himself back to the dining room, he was on the back of a very, lets just say BIG woman with mad, curly red hair. Tre was silent but the woman/teen (you couldn't tell) was smiling. She lowered Tre to the ground grabbed him once more and pressed her swollen fat lips against his.
"See ya after the show, stud," She flirted, pulling her mouth away and winking at him.
"You OK Tre?" Laughed Mike. Tre coughed and looked back into the crowd, she had gone. "I'm scared now, as soon as we've finished I'm going back to the van and not coming out until she's gone" he squeaked without blinking.
Once Tre had snapped back into reality Green Day ran onto the stage and rocked out! The crowd went wild! They played the usual stuff but experimented with some new material Billie had written, they seemed to love it. The ceiling was low so the sound was so loud they could barly hear their own instruments, not to mention that they were all bare faced drunk. They had just finished Who Wrote Holden Caulfield when Billie stopped to take a drink of beer and look at the audience properly, they were mostly Billie, Tre and Mike's age but there were quiet a few younger teen and kids too. Throughout the show he watched the crowd slowly filter down until there were about seventy left. If he were Adrienne, he sure would be mad seeing as all she wanted was a smallish gig and to see him. Mike came up to Billie and tapped him on the shoulder
"Are we gonna start again?" he asked, "Isn't that like your fifth beer in ten minutes?"
"Yeah, I'm just feeling thirsty, OK?" and he threw a beer at Mike. Mike shrugged and drank it, the alcohol was flowing like water so he may as well make the most!
Tre's shorts had now dissapeared and he was drinking more than Billie and Mike. Billie swayed and staggered back to the living room with Mike and Tre, picked up his guitar.
"MY STRINGS" He yelled and everyone laughed. He realised he was holding his guitar wrong." OOOPS," He laughed with the audience.
"Anyone wanna hear a song?" he yelled.
Mike and Tre were laughing. He pulled down his pants and held the microphone to his butt. He then started to sing. Everyone went mad, the crowd had now filtered down to 50, they needed to play something.
"OK a couple more sooooooooongs and then we'll have to call it a night" lectured Mike, doing a very good impression of Billie's mom. They did 1000 hours, the Judge's Daughter and a cover version of Operation Ivy's song Knowledge. Billie stopped and saw some farmiliar brown eyes smiling at him "Huhhh? That girls hot!" he whispered to himself, only he hadn't whispered he had yelled it and girls started throwing themselves onto him.
He pushed them away, the girl who he thought was hot was actually Adrienne. She smiled at him, for a moment he forgot why he was here but he remembered. "ADIE!" he yelled. She was thrown out of the mosh pit and was now waving at the front.
"This songs for someone I met some time ago!" he said winking at her and Green Day played 2000 Light Years Away. The show was over and half the crowd left. Billie Joe grabbed Adie from the most pit and they ran backstage laughing!
