"Welcome to your new home!" I greeted Erin as she stepped inside.

"Hello!"

"Omigosh... You dyed you hair green!" I exclaimed.

"No way!" she replied, "I thought I dyed it purple!"

"Shut your face."

"No. Deal with it."

"Moving on..." I began, "When are you meeting up with Tre?"

"I don't know. I haven't even called him yet. Sheesh. What's the hurry anyway?" Erin inquired.

"I--"

"Wait! Don't answer that... I think I know the reason," she paused, "Mike."

"I love Mike," I smiled.

"Well, you're going to have to get over that crush of your's. He's engaged."

"So? Tre lives with his ex-wife."

"Yeah, but there's a difference," Erin continued, "Tre's actually single."

"You. Suck," I glared at her.

"Everyone sucks, Bri," she commented, "But you swallow."

***Billie Joe's house/Tre and Mike are over***

"Ugh..." Tre sighed, flopping onto the couch, "When's she gonna call?!"

"You gave her your number?!" Mike exclaimed, throwing a ball into the air, "Pathetic loser..."

"No she's not!"

"He meant you, Tre," Billie cut in, "But what number did you give her, anyway?"

"My cell, duh. I'm always here," Tre answered.

"Yeah, stealing food," Billie muttered.

"I do not!" he hollared.

"Guys," Mike butted in, "I'm gonna go get some coffee. I'll be back later."

"Mike! We have coffee here!" Adrienne called from the kitchen, "Do you want me to make you some?"

"Nah... It's alright! I feel like Starbucks!"

"You feel like a coffe shop?" Tre added.

Mike just sighed before walking out the door.

***Briana's P. O. V.***

"Where are you going?" Erin asked as I got my shoes on.

"Out," I stated, "To get some coffee."

"Don't you have coffee here?" she inquired.

"Yeah, but Starbucks owns. Anyway, I'll see you later--"

"Wait!" Erin commanded, "Could you get me a late? I'll pay you the money when you get back."

"Yeah. Sure. Okay. Like I said, I'll be back later."

"Later!"

I stepped outside into the nice, warm air, shutting the door behind me.

***Mike's P. O. V.***

I still can't believe Tre gave that girl his number, I thought to myself as I walked down the streets of Oakland.

Yes, I decided to walk. I have two very good reasons:

One is because I needed the exercise. And two is because Tre brought me to Billie's, so I didn't have a car.

Nobody likes you... Everyone left you... They're all out without you... Havin' fun!

"Uh... Now that song's getting really annoying," I muttered, now noticing that Starbucks was only a couple feet away.

I looked down at my shoes, watching every step I took. It was stupid, seeing as how I didn't know who I might literally run into. Which is what I just happened to do.

"Oof!" a large puff of air blew out of my mouth as I slammed into another pedestrian.

I looked up from my feet to see a brown-haired woman, who was only a few inches shorted than me, "Oh, uh, my apologies for slamming into you."

***Briana's P. O. V.***

I raised my head slowly to view the tall, black-haired man that I slammed into. He had a pair of jeans on and a white-sleeveless tee, which showed off all the tatoos on his arm.

"Oh, uh, my apologies for slamming into you," he said.

I gazed into his blue, piercing eyes. They were beautiful. Just like... Just like Mike Dirnt's. This was Mike Dirnt.

"Omigosh! I'm so sorry!" I retorted, almost hyperventalating, "I didn't mean it at all. I wasn't paying any attention and I--"

"Woah, woah. It's alright. No harm done," he chuckled, "Plus, I wasn't watching where I was going, either."

I sighed in relief, "You have no idea how fucking sorry I am."

"Just don't worry about it."

I nodded, turning towards the entry to Starbucks, Mike did the same. We walked inside.

"Hello, welcome to Starbucks. How may I help you two, today?" the cashier smiled.

"Oh... We're not together," I pointed out.

Mike laughed slightly, "Just put it on one check. I'll pay for it."

"Are you sure?" I questioned, looking up at him.

"Yeah, just get what you want. It's my treat," he reassured me.

"Okay... Um," I turned back to the cashier, "I'll have one coffee and a late, please."

"Make that two coffees, please," Mike added, giving her the money.

"Alright, I'll be back in a second!" the woman smiled, again.

"One," I mumbled.

"Don't be a smartass," Mike chuckled.

"No," I replied, rolling my eyes.

"Anyway... I didn't cath your name," he said, changing the subject.

"Name's Briana."

"Hi, Briana. I'm Mike Di--"

"I know. I'm a big Green Day fan."

"Ah..."

"Here's your order," the cashier came back to the counter.

"Thanks," we said in unison, grabbing the coffees and the late, then walking out the door.

"Thanks, Mike," I said.

"No problem. Uh... I'll see you around sometime," he replied, "Later."

"Yeah, later!" I yelled before stepping off back home.

***At Home***

I stumbled through the door, almost dropping the late. I had finished my coffee before I made it home.

I leaned against the wooden door. Erin looked up at me from the Rolling Stone magazine she was reading.

I stared at her for second, taking in what had happened on the way to Starbucks.

"Are you... okay?" Erin quirked an eyebrow at me.

I quickly set the drink down on the table beside me. Then, I leaned against the door once again and let out a girly screech.
