Only of You, chapter 6
*Billie Joe's POV*
When Tre went to ask his kids if the wanted to ride the scrambler, he didn't see them. "Billie Joe, Mike, do you know where my kids are?" "No, I thought they were with us." "So did I." Then we all looked around and where Tre saw them he about fainted. They were headed up the dead zone. "Oh god. Oh no. Not that. Anything but that." Tre said as he started stumbling. Me and Mike set Tre on a nearby bench and ran over to the controller. "Sir, you need to bring this ride down now. Two kids are on that ride and their father is about to faint from shock. You have to bring them down." "But what about the --" he started to say but Mike cut him off, "Look here. We don't care about the other people. You either get those kids down or I'll kill you. Do you understand me?" Mike said furiously. "Ok ok, calm down." "Calm down? How can I calm down when those kids look up to me and BJ here? Huh? Just get them down." He brought the ride down and apologized to the other riders. Then Billie Joe said, "Frankito, Ramona, why did you get on that ride when your father told you not to?" "We wanted to ride it," Frankito responded. "I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you father almost fainted because of that little incident. When we get over there to him, you're gonna apologize. Understand?" "Yes we understand."
We walked over to where Tre was and I started massaging his shoulders. He looked up and saw his kids standing there. "Why are you two doing this to me? I am still very tense from the roller coaster. Please, just stay with us." "Sorry daddy. We just wanted to see what is was like." "It's alright. Just don't scare your father like that again ok? You two are my life. I can't lose you yet." Then he gave them both a hug.
After a while we headed back to the Pizza Hut where we had the birthday bash and got something to eat. For some strange reason, Tre wasn't eating. "You alright Tre?" I asked as I patted his shoulder. "Yea. I'm alright. Just a little stressed. That's all." "Well you know you can eat sometime don't you?" "Yea, but after today, I'm not as hungry as usual." "Ok. You can rest after the shocks today. You deserve it." "Thanks you guys." "Anything for our drummer."
We all got done eating we decided to drive around until the kids fell asleep. When they did we all stopped at a hotel and checked in. We stayed there for the night.
The next morning Tre fainted and wouldn't get back up.
