The Singer's Dilemma, chapter 4
<p>Kelsey stared at her arm now covered with cuts. She never thought she would do this. She never thought she'd be so stupid. Finally all the cuts stopped bleeding. She has thought about what Tre had said. She was going to go home. She was going to forget about Billie Joe , Mike , Tre and Adrienne. She had to at least try.</p>
<p>When Kelsey woke up the next morning it was 11:30am. She still didn't know if she should meet Billie Joe. 'Should I?' Kelsey thought. Finally she decided to call the hotel and ask them to tell Billie Joe that she couldn't make it. She reached for her cell phone called the operator and asked for the hotel's number. After she called the hotel she called the operator again and asked for the nearest airport's number.</p>
<p>Kelsey settled on the plane that left the next day at 4:30 pm. 'Things will just be worse if I stay' Kelsey thought. Although she really wondered what would happen if she stayed. If she went out to lunch with Billie Joe. And most of all she wondered what would have happened if she never would have left him. She was so mad at herself. 'My whole life has been a mistake. Leaving Billie Joe when she was pregnant and when she still loved him, coming here, cutting. It had all been a huge mistake. ' Kelsey thought. She went into the bathroom picked and picked up the razor but dropped it. 'I'm 32 years old and I have a daughter. What the hell am I doing?' she thought. </p>
<p>Kelsey needed to do something to pass the time. She decided to go to a movie. But of course when she got there guess who she saw? Billie Joe, Tre and Mike. 'Just my luck' she thought. She turned around trying to avoid them. Taking the easy way out. <br />Then she heard "Kelsey!" it was Tre. She rolled her eyes. Billie Joe was probably going to ask her why she couldn't come to the hotel. She heard footsteps behind her. She sighed and turned back around. <br />
"Why couldn't you come to meet me at the hotel?" Billie Joe asked. Kelsey looked down. Mike seemed to get that Kelsey was trying to ignore him. <br />"Billie, Tre we need to get to our movie or else we'll be late." Billie Joe narrowed his eyes and looked at Mike then looked back at Kelsey. <br />"How about you come to the same movie as us?" <br />"Uh- sure I guess." The movie turned out to be When a Stranger Calls. </p>
<p>At one part Kelsey got really scared. She jumped and grabbed Billie Joe's hand. He looked at her and smiled. 'God I love it when he smiles' thought Kelsey. She was looking into his eyes. When Kelsey realized what she was doing she blushed and looked away. She hated the thought she would have to try to forget about him and let him live his life. Without her. </p>
<p>Finally the movie was over. Kelsey thought she was going to be able to finally get away from everyone but no. Tre asked her to come with them out to eat. <br />"Please Kelsey?" Tre said giving her puppy dog eyes. "We can go to Applebee's!" he said with enthusiasm. Kelsey forced a smile once again and said "Sure." Kelsey followed them in her car. When they got inside a waiter came and toke them to a booth. After everyone had ordered their food there was an awkward silence. <br />"I'm leaving tomorrow." Kelsey said quickly. Billie Joe's smile was now gone.</p>
