Welcome To Paradise, chapter 1
"Goodmorning Mrs. Armstrong." whispered Billie, huskily into Rai's ear.
Rai shivered at the feeling of his hot breath against her ear.
"Goodmorning." replied Rai, with a grin.
"So what shall we do today? I'm kind of hungry." asked Billie Joe.
"Yea, I'm pretty hungry too."
Billie smiled and lowered his head, resting it on Rai's stomach.
"Hey in there. Are you hungry too?" whispered Billie.
Rai grinned and ran her fingers through Billie's hair. Billie's grin widened as he felt a soft kick against his cheek.
"I guess he is." laughed, Billie.
"He? We don't know if its a boy or a girl, Bill."
"Well, I'm just calling it a he for now." smiled Billie.
Rai rolled her eyes and threw her legs off the side of the bed, causing Billie to groan as he was pushed off her stomach.
"What was that for? I was comfortable." whined, Billie.
"Well, I have to use the restroom."
It's been 3 months since Billie threw the surprise birthday party for Rai. The couple married after a months notice, and Rai moved in with Billie Joe. Rai is towards the end of her second trimester of pregnancy with James' kid. She hasn't seen or had any contact with him since the night he kicked her out of his house. It's also been about 5 years and 4 months since the passing of Adie. She has been deeply missed by everyone, even more so by Billie Joe.
As Rai walked down the stairs into the kitchen she spotted Billie behind the counter pouring himself a cup of hot coffee. She let her eyes wander for a moment over him. When he felt a presence behind him, he turned around and broke into a grin.
"There's my sugar plum princess." He smiled.
"Sugar plum princess? Billie, what the fuck?" laughed, Rai.
"Yea, sugar cause you're sweet. Plum because you look like a plum with your belly, and princess because.... well because you're my princess." He replied, with a smile.
"Oh I see. How long did that one take to figure out?"
"Like... 3 seconds. It's not rocket science, babe. Well....maybe for you it is."
"Oh wow you're so funny. I almost peed in my pants." smirked Rai.
Billie laughed and pulled her against his bare chest. He placed a soft kiss against her temple, just as the phone rang.
"Dammit. I'll get it." said Billie.
He walked over to the receiver and picked up the phone.
"Yellow! Billie's phone, Billie speaking."
Rai smirked as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Uh yea. One sec." Billie held the phone out for Rai. "It's for you."
Rai grabbed the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey Rai! How are you?"
"Oh hey Danelle, I'm great how are you?"
"I'm good. Sorry if I disturbed you guys."
"Oh. No you didn't. We were just drinking coffee."
"Oh okay. Well I just wanted to talk to you."
"Sure, about what?"
"Well.... do you remember that guy Jakob? The one I was dating?"
"Yea."
"Well, he asked me if I wanted to get married."
"Oh my god, Danelle! Holy shit! Are you fuckin serious?!"
"Yea. Why would I not be serious?"
"Shut up, you know what I mean."
Rai looked up at a confused looking Billie.
"Yea. So I guess the date's set for this Friday. We're gonna get married in Vegas. We would love for you to come down."
"Oh my god. Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
"Oh, awesome! Hey, can you invite the gang for me?"
"Sure. I'm sure they'll love to be there." smiled an enthusiastic Rai.
"Alrighty then. Well I have to go shopping with my friend JoAnna. We're gonna go looking for my dress."
"Okay. Have fun. I'll talk to you later. Love ya!"
"Love ya too. Bye."
Rai hung up the phone and screamed with glee.
"Danelle's getting married!"
"Woah, Danelle Danelle?" asked Billie.
"No. Just Danelle. The only Danelle we know."
"With who?"
"Her boyfriend, Jakob."
"How long they've been dating?"
"Billie, I don't know. What's with all the questions?"
"Uh, sorry. I don't know. I was just wondering."
Rai shook it off. "Yea, this Friday. So do me a favor and tell Tre, Mike, and Jason for me. She really wants them to be there."
"Uh. Yea sure."
"Thanks." replied Rai while kissing his cheek. "Well, I guess you can just tell Tre when we go pick Joey and Jake up at his house."
"Oh yea! I forgot they were there."
"Nice, Billie. Well I'm gonna go get ready then we can head out. Okay?"
"Sounds good." replied Billie while sticking their mugs in the dishwasher.
About an hour later, Rai and Billie were in his BMW on their way to Tre's. When they arrived, they walked to the doorstep and rung the doorbell.
"Hey guys!" said Tre.
"Hey Tre. How are you?" asked Rai while placing a kiss on his cheek.
"I'm good."
"Thanks for letting the kids sleep over, man." said Billie.
"Oh yea. No problem."
They walked further into the house and took a seat in the living room.
"Oh Tre! Do you have any plans for this Friday?" asked Rai, anxiously.
"Um, no. Not that I know of. Why?"
"Because Danelle is getting married! And she's inviting all of us."
"Danelle is getting married? Like, Danelle Danelle?"
"What's up with you guys and the Danelle Danelle thing. And yes. Danelle. The only Danelle we know."
"Who's she marrying?"
"Her fiancee."
"Well, no fuck. But what's his name? Have we met before? How long have they been dating?"
"Tre, when did this become 20 questions?" asked Rai.
"Sorry. I just haven't seen her in so long."
"How long has it been?" asked Rai.
"I'm not sure. I remember she wasn't at your birthday party because she was on vacation. So I haven't seen her since before then."
Rai nodded. "Yea, she was in Aspen with Jakob."
"Oh." replied Tre.
"Hey man, you okay?" asked a concerned Billie.
"Yea. I'm great. Well, I'm sure I'll be able to go to her wedding."
"Awesome. She'll be thrilled."
"Yea. Can't wait." replied Tre sarcastically, under his breath.
