Shock Horror, chapter 1
Beth's *pov*
"I don't know, I really don't know, it just doesn't have the right sort of sound." I mumbled, playing a few notes on my Bass I happened to have with me.
"I know what you mean i just can't seem to get it." Anni replied, a look of deep thought across her face.
"Unless, naw, that wouldn't work." Cat mumbled, as she drifted off into thought again.
"Well the only way to stop it is to scrap the song." I finally came up with.
"NOOOOOOO!" Three voices cried at me.
"It's the greatest song you ever wrote it's difficult to get a tune to but we can make it happen let's just record the others we have and work on it tomorrow." Vikki mumbled, pulling the guitar strap over her shoulder as Anni and Cat went to there instruments.
I turned on the recorder. "Vikki you better be good I mean your voice is the key to the whole thing." I mumbled as we began to play our most weird song ever, dedicated to the greatest thing in the world: cheese.
*An hour later*
"That went well probably our best yet." I sighed, as I flopped onto Vikki's bed.
"Yeh I suppose but I think my drumming could have been better." Anni mumbled with a sigh.
"Anni it was perfect the worst thing was my keyboarding skills." Cat mumbled.
"Let's just close the subject." Vikki finished it as she sat on my stomach. Taking me completely by surprise and resulting in me gasping for breath. As she slid off of me letting me fall to the floor, she picked up a CD. "Ok ready, no second thoughts about this please say you have no second thoughts." She half smiled.
"NONE." Anni, Cat and I screamed together.
*Monday*
Vikki's *pov*
"Beth, Beth, come here I need to speak to you." I yelled at her, making her turn round and grin.
"Yeah so what is it?" She asked her grin turning into what looked as if it may be fits of uncontrollable laughter.
"So I sent it after you went so it should have or be somewhere near." I mumbled excitedly putting the look of confusion on Beth's face, the one that is there most often.
"Vikki why do you always have to confuse me what did I do to deserve it?" She asked, in a little kids voice the way we all love really.
"You were in the back of the line when the brains got handed out." I giggled, making her hit me over the back of the head.
*Math-first period*
"Why does it have to be so boring." I complained, glancing at Beth who was looking as if she may die any second now.
"I dunno what did I do to deserve this?" She asked, horror in her voice.
"You were born with the talent to be able to do this that's why it's so boring." I told her. "And the fact that it..."
I was cut off by an announcement from the teacher.
"Beth, Vikki go to reception now the headmaster would like to speak to you."
"I don't know, I really don't know, it just doesn't have the right sort of sound." I mumbled, playing a few notes on my Bass I happened to have with me.
