What happens When Your Idol Is Your Dad?, chapter 19
"But Adie said that you had to tell me something important."
"Mom said she would like to see you and your family and the guys."
"What today?"
"No in ten years! What do you think?" I huffed.
"I take that as a yes then."
"Yeah, yeah... sorry for snapping at you." I sighed taking another drag.
"It's O.K kiddo, we'll be there in an hour or so."
"Thanks, don't forget to tell Mike and Tre."
"Don't worry I'll call them after this."
"Thanks."
"No problem, see you in an hour then?"
"Yeah bye."
"Bye"
I snapped the phone shut and took one last long drag of the joint before flicking it in the gutter.
I slowly stood up and pulled some perfume out of my pocket and sprayed it over my body to hide the smell before walking back into the hospital.
I entered Mom's room.
"They'll be here in an hour or so." I said shutting the door behind me.
"Thanks honey."
"Now I need to talk to you all about something serious." Mom gave us all a stern look.
"We need to discuss funeral arrangements."
"No we don't!" I pouted feeling uncomfortable speaking about this subject.
"Yes, we do, seeing as I have no partner, and no family around here anymore." Mom said glumly.
"But... "
"No buts, you and Alex will have to deal with everything, I don't want you to but I have no choice over the matter." Mom's eyes glazed over with tears.
I know this was difficult for her, so decided to get it over with, even if it was going to be painful.
"I don't want a big fuss made, just you guys and some close friends, as well as Billie's, Mike's, and Tre's close family. I want just white lily's and a smile pine... coffin... I have already bought a grave plot, it's nice, it's under a willow tree, I want a church service but not to long and drawn out and I want happy hymns and at the end Amy I want you to play 'Good riddance's'" Mom tried to smile but broke down in a small cry.
"Will you do that for me Amy?"
"Yeah" I just manage to say and give Mom hand a reassuring squeeze.
"I think I'll get some sleep now." Mom yawned.
We all smiled at her nervously and watched as Mom fell asleep.
As soon I was sure Mom was in a deep sleep I stormed out of the room and ran back to the entrance of the hospital.
I slide down the wall in tears, why the fuck did she have to do that to me! I curled up into a tight ball and let all the pain flow out of me. Until I felt someone touch me on the shoulder.
"Amy" I heard a familiar voice ask.
I looked up to see Billie and everyone else huddled together in a group farther back.
I turned my sleeves over and wiped at my face, I gave a little sniff.
Billie knelt down in front of me.
"Is everything O.K?"
"No everything is so fucked up! My Moms not meant to die! Not yet!" I didn't matter how much I tried to fight back the tears they rolled down my face any way.
Billie pulled me into a hug at first I tried to struggle away but after a few seconds gave into his warmth.
I had really missed some one being there to tell me everything was going to be O.K.
I reluctantly pulled away and desperately wiped at my face again. Billie stood up and extended a hand to me and helped me up.
"Thanks," I muttered gratefully.
