Songbird turned around violently and saw her old friend... Kirsten! She had grown about three inches but Songbird was still taller. She ran over to her and jumped on her back. Songbird laughed out loud and spread her wings all the way and flapped violently so it only lifted a few feet from the ground and then dropped down again. Everyone caught this since it was in the courtyard. Ever since Kirsten left, she had become a pro soccer player, made lots of money, but no one knew of her secret.
"I haven't seen you in a while, guess who I saw last night?" Songbird asked like a seventeen year old girl again.
"Who?" Kirsten replied.
"Mike!" Songbird squealed and Kirsten squealed too. They finally stopped squealing when someone come up and tackled Songbird and Kirsten. Both of the ladies looked at the two men and instantly giggled at each other. It was Mike and Tré just tickled them. Billie Joe was behind them with Adie and two little boys behind him, hugging his legs timidly. Songbird whistled and two bodies come from the clouds and landed by Songbird. They were still squated down in a landing position and Joey and Jakob hugged Billie Joe's legs tighter.
"Hey, boys, it's ok, it's just my friend's offspring," Billie Joe calmed them. It looked like Firebird's wings had grown overnight, kinda like a growth spurt and Jakob came closer to Firebird's flame wings and Adie quickly pulled him back.
"It's fine, they don't hurt, only when I let them," Firebird calmed. He brought his wings closer to Jakob and the little boy reached out and softly felt the flames, although they were unnaturally warm, and they looked so cool with each individual feather actually being a flame. Angel smiled at Joey and winked at him, Joey blushed immediately.
Firebird looked at his mom, cuddling up to Mike, he knew something was up. Then, he felt a warm sensation as he saw a little boy, hugging his leg, Firebird instantly took after his bird half and warbled and put his wings around the child's small body since it was shivering under his hoodie.
"Come on Joey, I'll show you around," Angel said while stretching out her wings and pulling Joey to her and sort of guarded him from all faces familiar to her that might recgonize him. Joey felt a warm sense of security under her wings, he was only the young age of twelve, he had already 'grown up' and fast! Angel gave him a beautiful trademark smile and Joey just smiled back while having her wings around his shoulders loosely.
"You thinking that Joey's into her?" Billie whispered to Adie.
"Probably, Joey's a young man now, Angel is a young woman, but there's a diffenant difference in age."
"Age is just a number Adrienne."
"I know Billie, but I don't want a teenage girl breaking our young man's heart."
"I know what you mean Adie, but he's gonna have to go through it so many more times, I know I did before I met my soulmate," he smiled at her.
"You're such a cheesy man Billie Joe."
"But I love you anyhow."
Kirsten was right by them and ran away and felt herself soaring away.
"Kirsty! Wait up!"
