Have To See It To Believe It, chapter 3
"Well Okay. But what about my friends, and school, and Sydney?" She asked, her eyes burning at the thought of the only true best friend she had. She knew having a sister for a best friend was good because she knew her sister would always be there for her. After her parents and brother died, Sydney tried to take her in but was turned down by the police. She had a lump in her throat and tried to let it pass but it didn't.
"We will stay in my hotel room until school is over, your friends and sister can come to California every summer for as long as they like too. All expenses on me!" He said knowing when she thought about her sister it made her extremely depressed and sad.
"Okay but I have to tell Libby soon." She said and bent down as her dog approached her and started petting her dog.
"We will tell her when you want to. And you can even bring your cute little kitty and birdy. And your vicious little hyena." He said eyeing the dog with a smirk. Shelby saw his smirk and immediatly started growling. His smirk faded and he backed up away from the dog.
"Don't worry she will come to like you. But I'm sure the cat already does." She said picking up her cat Matilda and handing her to Billie.
"Awwww. Such a cute kitty.. I mean uh.. What an adorable cat." He recovered and started to blush. Mily just laughed, got up and started walking to the garage door.
"Well lets go to Libby's house. Come on Billie." She said trying not to laugh at his last remark. He put the cat down and followed her out the door. They walked in silence to his car that was still parked way down the street. It wasn't an awkward silence but a very comfortable silence, either way Mily couldn't stand silences and tried to speak up but was interupted by Billie breaking it first.
"Where did you learn to climb like that?" He asked trying to make it sound worth his while as he got into the car followed by Mily
"Well when I was five I was stolen and raised by hidious monkeys."
"Really?"
"NO!"
"Then how?"
"Just something I picked up living with all my cousins in all."
"Well I suck at climbing if you havn't noticed."
"Yea you do."
"Hey" He said then put on a puppy pout making his green eyes more deep.
"No fair I always fall for the puppy pout. Ugh. Fine. I'm sorry Billie." She said in a little kids voice.
"Okay." He replied his pout turning into a smile of victory. Mily rolled her eyes as he started the car. They drove in silence again until Billie turned on the radio having it blast Holiday back at him. They both sang along and Mily pointed to the turn Libby's house was on. They pulled up at the front of her house and Billie shut the car off and got out. He walked up to the front door and was just about to knock when he heard Mily speak up.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you."
"And why not?"
"Because you're Billie Joe Fucking Armstrong. Every person that has ever met me or pretty much that lives here knows who you are." He looked back at the door and took a step backward.
"Good point. But how are we supposed to get to Libby?"
"Just watch."
"Fine" Mily walked up to the window on the right side of her house and picked up a small rock and threw it at the window being careful not to break it.
"Fucking Hell! Mily what are you doing here?!" She yelled out the window.
"Come down here I want you to meet someone!" She yelled back up.
"Fine but we have to be quiet!" With that she climbed out the window and down beside Mily.
"Okay close your eyes, I know for a fact you will like this suprise." Libby closed her eyes and Mily motioned for Billie to come over. He did with caution of making noise but eventually reached them. "Okay open your eyes."
"OH MY FUCKING GOD ITS BILLIE JOE FUCKING ARMSTRONG! Mily how did you?..how do you..why didn't you...I'm confused."
"It doesn't take much." Mily replied rolling her eyes. "Well Libby you see Billie is kinda my real dad."
"Your just joshing me."
"No Libby shes not I am really her real dad." Billie spoke up which suprised Mily and Libby because he had been so quiet. "Libby what do your parents look like?" He asked changing the subject.
"Uh.. well everyone in my family has black hair and brown eyes except for me. If you can't tell I have red hair and blue eyes." She replied a little taken aback by his question.
"Whats your last name?" He asked suspisiously.
"Johnson. Why?"
"I KNEW IT! NOW I KNOW WHY YOU LOOK SO FAMILIAR!"
