This is my story, ITS PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!!... sorry, chapter 1
OK sit down shut up and listen... ok that's not a very good way to start my story. Oh well like I give a damn. Just to let you know before you start reading this story I'm letting you know that this is a real life story every detail... well almost every... is true. I have changed the names of the real life people so that we will have our privacy. Just to let you also know this only has a bit about Green Day... probably only the people in the story who talk about Green Day. That sucks I know but if I make another story it will be one entirely about Green Day so keep on the look out and enjoy about how 3 normal girls are slowly making their way to being rock stars.

Hi my name is Alexandra, Alex for short. I live in Australia but I'm not giving you anymore information about where I live so you won't come and track me down with a huge shot gun saying that my story sucks. Well too bad this is the real world. I'm 13 and in primary school... that also sucks. I really want to go to high school because primary school is starting to get on my nerves. Back to my story, it was 9am... pretty damn early for me in the school holidays but I actually have a reason. I have to get up early to like have a shower and all that crap before my friend Maxine comes over. She is coming over so that we can go over my friend Bridget's house to go to her dad's music studio for our first band practice. Did you get that? I sure hope you did.
I heard a knock on the door, must be Maxine. Maxine was the guitarist in our band. We first met when we were 5 since she lived on the same street as me. Back then we weren't really friends and she moved. Then in yr 3 we were put into the same class and became good friends but in yr 4 our classes split so we didn't keep much in touch... uhh how a good friendship could end quickly. In yr 5 she was in my class again but we weren't very good friends. Yr 6 during the last few weeks of the year we discussed Green Day during 2 way fitness, it wasn't a very long conversation but still. In yr 7 I joined a new group... the so-called 'popular' group, Maxine was in it. We weren't into the fashion that much so we walked off and talked about Green Day or guitars and before you knew it we were the best of friends and we still are. I'll tell you a bit more about her later, maybe.
"Hey," we both said, not at the same time but you know what I mean. As she puts her guitar on the ground I sit on the couch. "So, when we going to Bridget's?" she asks,
"11," I say absorbed at the TV.
"Well what time is it now?"
"10:30"
"Okay"
I could tell she was going to get bored easily in a minute or two so I turned off Family Guy. "Do you wanna see a clip of Live Freaky Die Freaky?" I say smiling because I knew this would grab her attention. She looked surprised.
"Did you get the movie?!" she asked excitedly,
"No but it's like a clip I have on my computer"
"That's good enough for me!" she jumped up, Live Freaky Die Freaky wasn't released in Australia so Maxine and I are desperate to see it.
The clip finished and I turned to Maxine. "So you're saying that guy there is Billie Joe?" she asks with a confused look.
"Yeah." I reply.
"It doesn't sound like him, he must have had a cold or something that day."
"Geeze you're an idiot, if you do a voice for a cartoon you put on a different voice not your own." It was like talking to a 4 yr old.
"Ohhhhhhhh."
I sighed in frustration; usually she is explaining things like that to me!
We are now in the car driving to Bridget's. I've known Bridget for not that long and we only started talking to each other this year. She is the drummer in our band and is frigen hilarious. She is a little bit younger than Maxine and me but she is still pretty cool, like it matters she is younger. Maxine and I stepped out of the car and ran to Bridget's door. Her house is across the road from the shops and one of Maxine's friends who was gonna be a drummer wasn't very committed and didn't help us and basically didn't give a damn about the band so Maxine and I are just going on without her knowing. Another reason she hates Brigdet which makes matters worse.
"Hey," she says opening the door, we greet her back and step inside greeting the rest of her family. Bridget and I do this little greet thingy we made up at school which is pointless but fun.
"So Bridget," her dad says, "Do you wanna go now?"
She looks at Maxine and I, "Do you guys wanna go now?" she asks us, Maxine and I turn to each other, geeze this is taking a long time.
"Yeah ok." we both say in unison. We hop into the car and head for the studio.
Today I'm trying the bass to see if I would rather play that than rhythm guitar, I might stick with it I mean there aren't that many singers that play bass as well in a band. We play holiday then a few more Green Day songs; our first practice and we all keep each other on time. I guess this is how it feels to be in a real band, working as a team, is this what they try teaching us in school? I have no idea. It's now been an hour and we decide to have Hungry Jack's (aka Burger King). We laughed our heads off in the spare room where we were eating in since we were all talking about the comedy festival from the night before. "Hey Alex I got an idea!"
Maxine says excitedly, "Lets see if we can come up with a drum beat to our song!" I smile and nod, Maxine and I made up a song for poetry once but since the lyrics were about hating school we didn't put it in but we did make up a guitar part for it and all we needed were the drums.
We played it over and over trying to find the right beat. It was hard but worth the effort.
"Let me see if I can come up with one." I say getting onto the drum kit, my dad used to play drums for a band when he was younger and loves rock and heavy metal so I do know a thing or two about drums. Maxine played and shouted the words since she was a backup singer and felt like yelling. I stopped playing when we finished.
"Well," I said scratching my neck and getting up, "That drumbeat sounds really shit!" Maxine and Bridget laugh.
We played a few more times and then alleluia or however those angels thingy's do that noise as if we reached heaven. Bridget found the perfect part and Maxine and I jumped around when playing while Bridget was smashing the crap out of the drums. We finished the song and there was a long silence until Maxine broke it as usual.
"That was frigen awesome!" she yelled. It sure was and we still kept on playing until we had to leave since we had been there for four hours!
Bridget dropped us off and Maxine's place, where my mum was going to pick me up. We went on the computer for a while still trying to catch our breath from yelling and jumping around like crazy. This is going to be a good band.
