The One I Want (The Better Version), chapter 2
Tre looked over his shoulder for the 10th time since they'd left the garage. Billie looked at him suspiciously.
"What do you keep staring at?" He asked, hitting his back. Tre shook his head and laughed.
"I'm gonna go talk to the birthday girl." ha said and walked away. Truth was, it was her that he kept looking at. He couldn't help it, she was stunning.
Her back was turned to him as her and her 3 friends were laughing. He tapped her shoulder.
"What can I help you with?" She asked as she turned around. When she saw Tre she smiled and her eyes brightened slightly. "Oh, hey."
"Hey, so um, happy birthday."
"Thanks." Tessa laughed. Jess elbowed Lauren who elbowed Natalie. They saw the spark. Slowly the backed away from the two and went to talk to the other members.
"So how old are you?" Tre asked, surprised that he DIDN'T mean it in a perverse way.
"Seventeen," she smiled again.
'Wow, underage, go figure. I better get out now. ' Tre thought as he tried to back away.
"That's cool. Well I better get back to the guys." Tessa looked over his shoulder at the table and laughed. Jess had Billie hanging on to every word she said, and Mike was laughing at one of Laurens jokes.
"What guys?" Tre looked back and saw what she saw.
"Well, your friends go work pretty fast."
"Yea, they do don't they." She laughed. Tre smiled, he loved her laugh. "Wanna go sit down?" she asked him, nodding her head towards the house. He smiled.
"Sure, why not." 'It's just sitting, nothing bad could happen from us just sitting' he thought. Boy was he wrong
He walked into the house and took a seat in a plushy red couch.
"So, were is your family?" He asked
"Mom's at work and my dweeb of a brother is at his friends>" she plopped next to him and hit the power button for her radio. And announcer's voice came over the speakers and she quickly shut it off.
"There's never anything good on the radio." she said. Tre watched her lips move in amazement. They were so perfect. How could anything be so perfect he wondered. Without thinking he leaned in a brushed his lips against hers. She blinked, closed her eyes and moved into the kiss. He licked her bottom lip and she opened her moth to allow his tongue to play with hers. Quickly he pulled away and sighed.
"We can't do this." he said
"Errm...." was all Tessa could get out before the door burst open and Billie came running in.
