"I am going to meet Green Day!", chapter 2
Th scenery was beautiful, I felt like queen of the world.
"Well hi there."
I turned around to see Mike Dirnt.
"Oh my god, am I blocking your view?" I said.
"Of course not. Hey, I have seen you from somewhere," He said.
"You did a recent concert in San Francisco, I live there and I was the one screaming at the top of my lungs," I said, embarrassed.
"Oh I remember you, you were the one with the huge sign," He says.
"Yeah I guess that was me," I said.
"Well looks like we are going to be relatives," He says .
"Yeah, sad is it?" I said sarcastically.
"Yeah..." Mike says ended by a chuckle
"Adie is that you, oh god I can't believe you guys would get here without any directions," Annie says, coming towards us.
"Well it was not easy but dad finally stopped at one of the gas stations on the way," I said
We pulled into a hug after not seeing each other for about 2 years, yet something was different about her. I can't put my finger on it though.
"Well don't you think we should go inside?" Annie said as I was looking at the ocean.
"Oh sure, I would love to see your designs," I said enthusiastically.
We walked inside and the whole living room was humongous, the dining room was just as big, and I was walked up to the rooms. Then Annie presented me to Tre, then Annie left.
"Hello petty lady," Tre said.
"Uh, hi," Adie said.
"So are you single?" Tre said while eyeing me.
"Uh I don't know," I said stupidly.
"Then if you don't know, that must mean you are single," Tre said while smiling.
"Uh I guess," I said shyly
Then he pinned me to the wall and said, "Well if you change your mind just give me a call okay," He said that and turned around and started skipping into the living room.
I decided to walk to my room, I entered the big guest house. I came into my room and got settled, changed my clothes and came out. When I was about to open my bedroom door, I hear in the room next to me this beautiful voice. I kept on listening to what appeared to be Good Riddance. And you all guessed right, the voice belonged to Billie Joe.
The voice stopped.I came out of my room and found myself face to face with him. We were so close that our noses touched. I backed up a bit and he did as well.
"Oh hi you must be Annie's sister," Billie said coming out of eyeing me.
"Yeah, the name's Adie," I said.
"I guess you know me already," Billie said.
"Oh yes I do," I replied.
"Well I need to go to the bathroom," Billie said.
"Oh I'm so sorry for blocking your way," I said, embarrassed.
A few moments passed and Billie came out of the bathroom. I was still in the same place where he left me.
"So I hear you are a big fan of me," He says.
"Yeah, oh and I heard you sing about 10 minutes ago. I'm your neighbor," Adie said.
"Oh did you like it?" he asks.
"Oh yeah, it was beautiful," I say blushing.
*A few moments in awkward silence*
"Um, I have to get going, Annie wants me to go with her to do the wedding designs," I said.
"Wait I thought she was an architect?" Billie asks, puzzled.
"Yeah she is, but I am studying interior design, like for parties and homes and things like that," I say.
"Oh, nice," Billie says .
"Yeah we were even thinking of opening a business together, you know she does the outside and I do the inside," Adie says.
"Oh that would be great, think of all the people wanting to get both at the same time," Billie says, interested.
"Yeah that's the whole point," Adie said.
"Yeah," Billie says.
Another awkward silence.
"Well nice meeting you Adrienne," Billie says.
"Please call me Adie, you make me sound like I was twenty," Adie says.
"Oh ok," Billie says, a bit embarrassed.
Adie gets her shoes on with her hat and purse, and joins her sister. As she walks toward the master house she keeps on thinking of what happened, and feels herself blush.
