"I love you" Is not enough, chapter 3

Lily's POV:

***

I woke up at the same time I usually do; with my mom yelling in my ear. But today it was different.
"Hey, get up! You can ride the bus today! There are some new kids that moved in the area so now the school system is allowing busses to come down here!"
"Cool. But why did you wake me up so early then?" She started to open her mouth and I stopped her not wanting to get in an argument so early. I pushed her out of my room and walked into my private bathroom (Yeah...it used to be my dad's before he moved out, then I got his old room and bathroom. Of course I redecorated though!) And took a shower.

***

I realized how much time I had until school it was still 5:16 A.M. So I looked around under my sink for something to do. I noticed some hair bleach from when I bleached my sister's hair. Hmmm....then I noticed the pink hair dye I bought a month ago. How could I forget I had it?! I used some foil and bleached and highlighted my hair pink. Fun. My mom won't even notice since she's off to work already. Cool, I hope Tre likes it. Wait! Tre? Why am I thinking about him like that? I think I like him.
I looked at myself and loved the color. I put the half empty jar of Manic Panic back under the sink then I grabbed my razor. I combed my hair in front of my face then cut it with my razor to make it look choppy. I don't know why I am cutting my hair. I 'spose I want to change it. Then I cut the rest of my hair just to my shoulder and slightly longer in the front. I made my bangs side swept then went to get dressed.

***

I walked to the bus stop to see someone already standing there.
Probably one of the new kids. His hair was black and he was dressed in tight jeans and a bark blue tee. I walked up behind him and popped my mouth to scare him. It worked and he jumped.
"Hi." He said hesitantly.
"Yo."
"I'm new here. Are you too?"
"Nope, I've lived in this boring town my whole life."
"Oh, it doesn't seem too boring. I heard there was a chess club!" He gave a little laugh of sarcasm. It was adorable...just like him.
"Yup. Thank goodness for chess huh? My name's Lily."
"Hello Lil-ay!"
"What's your name?"
He ignored the question "Hey, where do you live?" I pointed to my two story house. "Oh, I live on the opposite side of the street in the yellow house." He pointed.
"Cool."
We kept talking about different things like music and all that is close to our hearts. Why must I get so nervous around guys? I kept twiddling with my hat to keep my hands busy. Then the bus finally pulled up and I invited him to sit by me.
***

I took my hat off after we sat down.
"Wow, I like your hair. Mines going Blue soon."
"Cool... I almost did blue. But this morning I remembered I had pink dye so I figured why go buy more."
"Ah that's cool..." He trailed off.
A half an hour passed by and we had a lot of conversation going on.
"So what is your name?" I asked as we pulled up to the school. He stood up.
"I'll tell ya later, I got to go." He gave me his prize smile. It was amazing.

Tre's POV
***

I walked into the boys' bathroom to do what my retarded mother would not let me do. I smudged on some eyeliner and jelled my hair into what I like to call a 'Tre Hawk'. Then I walked out of the bathroom. Today is going to be a good day. I can tell by the way my hair is co-operating.
