The New Girl, chapter 2
Goddamn it. Why didn't I see her? Jimmy said they were gonna walk home. But of course, many things could have happend. Maybe their mom wanted to pick them up, first day of school. Well, then their mom is stupid! I need to see her.
I was sitting in my bedroom. Was supposed to do my homework, but I couldn't stop thinkin' about Jill, and her wonderful smile. She was the perfect girl. Well, I didn't know her yet. But by the way she was when I talked to her, I could tell she was. She had the perfect style too. She was dressed in a black skirt, with knee socks and purple Converse shoes, and a t-shirt that said; Stop lookin'. Yeah, that meant I was lookin', but who wouldn't? And her face, her beautiful face, with the wonderful smile.
No, I had to do something to manage to stop thinkin' about her for a while, so I decided to visit Mike.
"I'm going over at Mike's," I yelled into the kitchen. Mom was cooking dinner.
"Are you coming home for dinner?" she asked. "Probable not" I shouted back, and closed the door behind me. I didn't feel like talkin' to mom about school, 'cause I knew she was going to ask if I ate dinner at home.
We didn't do anything special at Mike's, we were only listening to some music, and we talked a bit. So I was still thinkin' about Jill. Shit, I just had to find her tomorrow.
"Hi, you remember me? My brother said you were askin' about me yesterday" I heard someone say. I recognized her voice, and knew it was Jill. I turned around smiling. "Of course I remember you, I mean.. Errm, yeah" I said, while blushing.
"Well, I was thinkin' about you, when Jimmy said you were asking about me. I think you seem like a cool guy" she said and looked down, she seemed nervous.
"Oh, thank you. You really seem cool too" I said and smiled. She smiled back.
"You wanna hang out today or something?" she asked. "Yeah, sure" I said. "Cool! Can I get your phone number or something?"
"Of course, wait a sec," I said, and found a pice of paper in my locker and wrote it down. I got her's number too. We had to go to our classroms, but we decided that I was going to call her after school. I was so excited, and couldn't wait for school to finish.
We were sitting in the bus, on our way home. "Why are you so happy?" Mike asked. "Am I not allowed to be happy?" I asked, and looked at him like I was freakin' out.
"Ha-ha, very funny. I mean, why are you suddenly so happy?" he asked.
"Ok, I have to tell you someday. I've met this girl, Jill. She's Jimmy's sister. You know, the new guy in class," I said.
"Oh, cool. Tell me about her," he said, and gave me a smile I'd never seen before. It was a good smile, though. So I told him everything I knew about her, and he seemed to like her, even though he hadn't met her yet.
