Is it that time already? I thought to myself, picking up some clothes. I didn't care what they were, just so long as they were baggy, black and different from everyone else's. "Ellie! Get your ass up and out of here! We do have a school to get to, you know!" my best friends voice rang through my house as I pulled a brush through my messed up brown hair. I moaned and she laughed.

"I'm here, Lodz!" I grinned. Pulling my oldest pair of converses onto my size 8 feet, I tightened the laces slightly, before letting them go and walking out the house. "Your bag, L," Lodz grinned. I grinned at her, and ran back, pulling my backpack over my shoulder.

"Hallelujah, and finally. We're actually gonna be at school less than an hour late!"

We walked up to school, debating whether we should actually go in today. "I feel sick, Lodz! Don't make me go! I've got the old stuff pot!" I begged, offering her a cookie.

She just laughed and patted my head. She paused, before saying, "You're going to school, Loz." I pouted and she just shook her head. I threw a rock at her feet and ran towards school. Her and Alex chased me all the way there.

"Lauren Elizabeth Granger, sit down at your desk now!" Grumpy old mofo, I thought, still standing next to Lodz and flicking my gum at some random person. Lodz laughed as it hit her boyfriend Alex in the face. "Dude! Fucking gross!" he grinned, flicking it back at me. I laughed and pushed Lodz in front of me, but she held up her notebook and it stuck. I burst into laughter and sat at my desk. "Glad to see you're finally co-operating, Miss Granger," Mr. Asshole Anther grinned.

I glared up at him. "I'm not, Sir. And don't call me Granger, got it? That's the step-dad's name, ass. It's Simpson, you got that thick fuck?!" I yelled, throwing a paper wad at him and walking out the door. I heard Lodz and Alex follow me.

"One day, I'm going to put some drug in his coffee and get him the pink slip," I moaned, sitting down on Lodz's new armchair. "Why did you guys come to school with me anyways? I mean, you're four years older and you're six years older. You left school years ago!" I added, jumping up and down.

They just laughed at me. "Because we love you, Ellie!" Alex yelled, running to hug me. I laughed and pushed him away, making him fall onto my backpack. Lodz laughed at him and helped him up. Lodz turned the TV on, and Kate came through door, holding her head. Lodz looked at her.

"Don't ask," Kate muttered, throwing her purse near the door and running upstairs to change. I looked at Lodz, and she told me Kate was going out for a meal with Anthony again.

"She's a lucky bitch. Dating a rock star. I'll be damned if it ever happened to me!" Lodz laughed. Lodz had been with some famous guys before, but one in particular was special. The one that we were meeting for coffee in NY City in a half hour!

I sat down next to Lodz in Starbucks, after Alex had dropped us off from her apartment. "Shouldn't he be here by now?" Lodz asked, checking her watch. I grinned and rolled my eyes. It should have been me worrying, because she'd met him before, but I was strange and weird enough to not be too fussed. On the surface, anyway.

I heard the sound of screeching tires and a familiar voice saying, "There she is!" We looked round to see Tré wearing shades and a baseball hat. Something we were not expecting to see, however, were two other figures, wearing baseball hats and cheap shades.

"Holy shit! Billie, I didn't think you were coming!" I yelled, getting up and running over to him.

He grinned and hugged me. "I guess I had a free space in my busy schedule to slot you guys in. Plus, I wanted to meet you!" Billie Joe grinned. I laughed and sat down, finishing my cup and ordering more coffee.

"So. You still in touch with that Joe?" Tré asked, slurping his beer and throwing the can onto some piece of grass. I shrugged.

"You know, I think he started someone else, and, I don't know, but I think I told him to fuck off and then came crying to Billie," I grinned.

Billie laughed and nodded. "I remember it well. Like it was last week," he giggled. Lodz giggled and rolled her eyes.

"It was last week, homie," I said, lying down on the grass. Billie and Lodz lay on either side of me. We got into a conversation about how relationships suck and that some things should be left alone. "At least you still see them. I'll never see Joe again in my life."

"Yeah, but you didn't have kids with him, and it's less people to miss," Billie said, rolling over to face me. I nodded.

"It all seems so long ago, doesn't it? I mean, you don't want it to be over, but you don't want to go back to them, 'cause they hurt you," Lodz pitched in, looking over at Tré. He looked at the floor, and she hugged him, to let him know she wasn't being horrible, just trying to cheer us up.

I rolled over and fell off the sofa. "Haha, Loz!" Tré yelled, squirting me with some sticky stuff. I threw a cushion at him and climbed back onto the sofa, rolling over so I was facing the back of it. "Aw, I didn't mean it!" Tré yelled, throwing the cushion back at me and begging on his knees for me to forgive him.

I turned round, hit him over the head with the cushion and muttered, "There. Now I forgive you."

I heard him laugh, and smiled to myself.

"I'm...starting...to...feel...sick...But...I...haven't...been...on...one...of...these...since... secondary...school!" I yelled as I bounced up and down on my new trampoline. I was pretty scared of trampolines, but I had to face up to my fear and not be a pussy in front of Tré, Billie, Lodz, Mike and Alex. I got down. "I need to wash my hands," I muttered to Lodz. She looked at me with a stern look and nodded.

"Just don't go over board," she whispered. I sighed and ran to the bathroom. I decided I felt too dirty just to wash my hands, so I had a shower instead. I scrubbed until I had red patches, until I didn't feel dirty anymore. See, I kind of had a touch of OCD.

"Loz! What the hell did I tell you! Don't fucking go overboard! And what do you do? You turn a simple washing your hands into a full on bath! You're gonna wash yourself away and there'll be no more Loz to love!" Lodz yelled at me as I came down the stairs. The guys were outside, and hopefully, they hadn't heard Lodz yell. I just looked at the dado rail and shrugged. She sighed. "What the hell am I gonna do with you, eh? We said we were gonna beat this," she muttered, pulling me into a hug.

I started crying. "I'm sorry," I whispered. She just muttered that it was ok, and we went outside to see the guys.
