Once in a While I Could Look at You., chapter 2
Me and my boss were the only two people in the whole store. I was scared he would fire me now instead of waiting until the end of the day like he said he would. He never kept his promises.
"Rachel? You can go home now. I don't need you here anymore. We have Jodie coming in at 1:00."
"Screw you," I said and ran out of the store. I wasn't really paying attention to anything or anyone around me. I didn't care if a murder came right up to me and killed me. I really didn't care anymore.
I was walking down that empty hallway where people went when they just wanted to be alone. The most people that were ever in that hallway at a time was 2 or 3. I saw someone else sitting in the hallway alone. I sighed and went down the hallway. I looked at the person as I was walking by them. I realized that it was Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance. I moved on as casually as I could. I figured he would want to be alone after all those people that morning.
I really wanted to say 'Hi' to him. God, why was I so shy?! I heard that voice that I had heard millions of times in interviews.
"Hello?"
