Houston, TX Toyota Center, August 18th, 2005

I went to go see Green Day for the first time on August 19th (since they always sell out before I can get tickets) and it was so fuckin' amazing. It was so full of energy and despite the fact that my poser-ass cousin went, it was the best night of my life. They started the show with "American Idiot" which then led into "Jesus of Suburbia". At one point, Billie started making these weird moaning noises and no one knew why, but if you looked close, you could see that his hands were down his pants. I was so fucking funny!!! But I had my eyes on Tre most of the night. They rocked all night and didn't stop till about 11:30. I knew every song and I spent about $250 on shit that I didn't need, but I can't help it. If I see something with "Green Day" on it I have to buy it. One of the best parts was when the asked 3 kids from the audience to come and play "Knowldge". The kids did ok but Billie was fucking around with them and kept saying things like "God damn you guys suck!" and "That sounds like shit". He ended up giving the girl that he picked the guitar but before she left he told her to "go home and fuckin' practice." The show was amazing and when they played their older songs (Longview, Basket Case, Brain Stew, etc.) all of the oldschool fans (including me) went totally crazy. I was constantly moshing even though I wasn't in the pit. The fuckin" teeny bopper girls who were sitting behind me only cheered for Billie and only knew the songs from American Idiot so I drowned out their "Billie" screams with my "Tre" screams and managed to constantly get in their view of the stage. They ended to show with a bad ass electric version of "Good Riddance(Time of your life)" which I think was the perfect song to end any show with. That was definately the best concert ever!!!
