San Francisco, CA SBC Park, September 23rd, 2005

I went to the Green Day concert on 9/24 at SBC Park in San Francisco California.

Sooo, Flogging Molly was the first band to come on. Their favorite word was "bastard" and to tell you the truth, they were kind of boring. The next band was Jimmy Eat World. The lead singer's hair was getting to me and I had only heard a couple of their songs. Then came the good part. Green Day. "YMCA" began playing and a guy in a pink fluffy bunny suit ran onstage.

Someone standing outside of the arena might have thought some sort of explosion had taken place. It was a bit scary.

I loved seeing all of the punks and goths and emo kids doing the YMCA, but hey, what are pink fluffy bunny suits for? After Green Day got onstage, everybody in my row was standing, singing and dancing by the first chorus of "American Idiot". Ecxept for this one girl, who just sat there like a retard. Whatever.

By the end of the concert, Billie Joe had mooned the crowd, Tre had sang "All By Myself", Mike had gotten the bass player girl to bow to him, and my best friend and I were the only ones still standing in our row.

During "Good Riddance", I pulled out my cell phone and turned it on. Before we knew it, the stadium was spotted with little gold and blueish sliver lights. It was a truly beautiful moment.

This concert was the best night of my life, and it couldn't have been much better. I think this show was truly amazing. Everyone needs to see Green Day, but because this was a hometown show, it was probably one of the best shows they had. As Billie said,

"This is our biggest hometown show. Ever. Ever ever ever ever ever!"
